Full Moon in Libra + Mercury & Venus station direct!

On April 12th, we greet the Full Moon in Libra just as Venus (Libra’s ruling planet) stations direct, and just a few days after Mercury stationed direct on April 7. These planetary shifts feel like the fog is finally lifting after a long, slow drive. Venus and Mercury’s retrograde has likely stirred up some awkward conversations, challenges in our relationships, technical frustrations, and delays. But with both Venus and Mercury picking up speed again, we can finally move forward with a sense of clarity. This full moon illuminates the internal processing we’ve done over the last few weeks and reconciles it with the outward connections we’re now ready to pursue and/or rekindle.

The tarot cards associated with this moon are very different in their energetic expression. They are the Four of Swords (moon in Libra) and the Four of Wands (sun in Aries). The Four of Swords is all about healing and recovery—basically, it is the rest you actually need, not the one where you stay up late in bed scrolling through your phone lol. It’s quiet, internal, and restorative. The Four of Wands, on the other hand, is a celebration, perhaps a wedding reception or a backyard party. It’s the clinking of glasses, the “we made it” moment. It’s joyful, warm, social.

The Four of Swords tells us to slow down and take a breath, and the Four of Wands says, “Get up, we’re dancing tonight.”

And honestly? Right now, we probably need both. This full moon isn’t asking us to choose—it’s asking us to balance. Maybe you’ve been in hermit mode and it’s time to rejoin the world, even if just a little. Or maybe you’ve been running nonstop and your body is waving a white flag. Libra energy loves to weigh both sides, and this is a great moment to ask: where have I been overdoing it, and what do I actually need right now?
