Tarot & Energy Update this week: 2/3/25

This week’s energy brings fresh starts and exciting possibilities! With Venus entering Aries on the 4th, she infuses our lives with confidence and passion, especially in the areas pertaining to love, creativity, and personal pursuits. It’s the perfect time to take bold steps toward what (or who) lights you up.

Jupiter stationing direct in Gemini that same day helps conversations flow more easily, making it a great time to connect, share ideas, and entertain new perspectives. A surprise opportunity may pop up when you least expect it—go with the flow and see where it leads (just remember to stay safe and use common sense, of course).

Later in the week, Neptune’s alignment with the North Node in Pisces on February 7th turns up the volume on our intuition, prophetic dreams, and synchronicities. This ethereal aspect has us drifting into uncharted waters, testing the integrity of our connection to the divine. If certain signs keep appearing—a recurring thought, repeating numbers, an image, or an uncanny coincidence—don’t brush them off. If your intuition is picking up on these subtle signs, trust they hold meaning or a message for you.

The Taurus new moon this week invites you to be kind, and to pursue opportunities that enhance your overall long-term stability.

The tarot card associated with this transit is the six of pentacles. A few key words for this card are generosity, investment and reciprocity.

This is an interesting card as depending on the situation, you may be the one giving or receiving. For those that are doing well, you are reminded to appreciate what you have and to offer assistance to others or a good cause when you are able. For those that are going through rough times, the six of pentacles upright in a reading is an auspicious sign that your luck is about to change for the better.

What goes around comes around and the karmic wheel of life is perpetually in motion. More often than not, an act of kindness, no matter how small, circles back to its source bringing a blessing with it at a later date. If you are presented with an opportunity to do a good deed that is feasible for you in the next two weeks, consider it.

This week we have the full moon in the sign of Virgo and Saturn changing signs into Pisces! Don’t be surprised if some changes come about in your life! Reconciliations, breakups, new relationships, as well as making the decision to change jobs, move, start a new health regime, start a new endeavor, or end one. Anything is possible!

The sun in Pisces (nine of cups) and the moon in Virgo (nine of pentacles) has us reassessing important areas of our life wherein we have known for a while that a change is needed. Emotional fulfilment, one’s spiritual path, self-worth and independence may be a few themes that come to light. You may have an eye-opening epiphany or a truth that comes out, that literally stops you in your tracks. As you decide on whether or not if this road is still the one that you want to be on. Whether it is or is not, this transit serves as a reality check that gives you the motivation to do what is best for you.

Knight of Pentacles has his eye on the prize and urges his faithful steed forward each day as he keeps his future goal ever present in his mind’s eye. As an earth element card, the Knight of Pentacles moves the slowest, as it represents the physical realm. Progress here takes time and action on your part. What steps do you need to take this week to make progress on a project or goal? You may have gone off track. Is it time for a realignment?

The Emperor is smack dab in the middle of this reading! He represents the sign of Aries. Controlled, masculine fire. This is my discipline and strategy card. Adding structure to your daily routine would be helpful. Cut out distractions and be aware of “time bandits” that sap your focus and energy. Be firm and stick to it when setting personal boundaries. Next month, the sun moves into Aries on the 21st. This could be a time marker for some of you. Take care of those small details now before the spring season kicks in!

The Queen of Swords as the final card is not one to be trifled with! She does not have time for excuses! She’s my “self-made” Queen. Many couples make the mistake of believing that they must do everything together. And while yes, it is good to spend time together of course, time apart is just as valuable. It doesn’t matter how much we love each other, we all need space for ourselves. Each one of us was created for a reason. We all have a divine path and purpose. We all need space to express ourselves as individuals in order to grow. Otherwise one can feel smothered. Or as if we are living someone else’s life instead of our own.

If you are single, are you giving yourself space to spread your wings? Don’t let what friends and family “might” think of you hold you back from your divine potential. You will find that as you engage in activities that you love, your heart light will shine. Drawing exciting new people and experiences to you. Let them think what they want to think. If they love you, they will love you for WHO YOU ARE. This is your life not theirs. You deserve to be happy.

Back to the couples. As the saying goes, absence makes the heart grow fonder. As each of you do “your thing” on your own, you will have new stories to tell each other! In doing this, you both have the opportunity to see each other in a new light every day. Give each other space and you will find that the time you spend together will be that much more exciting and special.

Leo full moon 2/5/23. Solar plexus activation. Tarot card: Six of Wands

First, let’s talk a little bit about the symbolism of this transit. The numerology is interesting. It occurs on the 5th day of the month. As well when one adds up the entire date 2+5+2+0+2+3 = 14. It also breaks down to the number 5. The sign of Leo rules the 5th house on the zodiac wheel. The fifth house relates to joy, children, self-expression, confidence, drama, romance and overall good times. It’s planetary ruler is the sun. Its archetype is the majestic lion.

All I’m going to say here is, get ready! The lion does NOT sleep tonight!

This energetic Leo full moon is activating our solar plexus chakra big time to give us an extra boost to reframe areas of our life that are overdue for a reboot. The corresponding tarot card is the six of wands. In this card, we see someone in the spotlight. This person is a winner and is ready to take on the next challenge. It can denote achieving a goal, overcoming obstacles, as well as future success. There is also an element of respect in this card. As full moons often shed light on shadow areas in our life, you may find that this transit highlights situations and people that may not be or no longer be suitable for your highest good.

Are you respected and “seen” at work, in your relationships, friendships, etc.? Do you surround yourself with people and places that support your well-being? This Saturday, we have the first new moon of 2023 in the sign of progressive Aquarius. New moons mark the beginning of a new cycle. I find it interesting that the tarot card that came out for this week is the Ace of Wands and the crystal card is Tiger’s Eye. All the Aces in the tarot indicate new beginnings and potential. And both the Ace of Wands and the tigers eye crystal carry the frequencies of courage, fire, clarity, self-sovereignty, and faith in oneself. With this dynamic trio working together, you may be feeling inspired to make some positive changes or start something new this week!
