Scorpio Super Full Moon 4/26/21

Full Super Moon in Scorpio 4/26/21. Letting it go!

We have a powerful Super Full Moon in Scorpio tonight! You may have already been feeling it’s effects as full moon energy tends to culminate for about 3 days beforehand. Scorpio is a sign of analyzing, releasing and transformation, and its element is fixed water. The moon’s element is also water, so we may be feeling more psychically sensitive right now. It is important to be aware of your own emotions as well as what is going on with the people around you. We may inadvertently pick up on the energies of other people and internalize them, not realizing that they are not ours.

We can attune to this Scorpio full moon energy to release subconscious attachments that may have served their purpose in the past, but no longer “fit” us in the present. I picture these energies like saran wrap “sticking” on our energetic body that may have us feeling anxious and/or restricted in some way. Use the powerful frequencies of this full moon to cleanse your physical and energetic body, which will allow you to better connect with yourself. Clearing the layers to uncover your true potential.

This is the perfect moon to work with the element of water. If you are able, prepare a cleansing spiritual bath! Include epsom salt, crystals, essential oils, sea salt, candles, incense and time where you will not be disturbed (extremely important!) to allow yourself to tune in and go deep. To acknowledge what it is that you feel may be holding you back at the present time, and that you are now ready to let go of. You may even want to write down what this is for you, meditate on it, and then do a releasing ritual to let it go.

Some of these Scorpionic energies are not comfortable! In the tarot, Scorpio is represented by the Death card. Facing death is never easy. And death is not pretty. However, death and rebirth is a part of life. You may find some unanticipated aspects come up for you during this time. Some of which you may not even know were there! Or perhaps you thought they have already been dealt with and done. During your meditation, do not deny what comes up, even though it may be uncomfortable or painful. Dive in, allow yourself to feel, explore, understand what they are and why they have come up. Are these deep emotional aspects affecting your life now? Are they showing up as “triggers” to let you know that they are there, waiting for you to acknowledge them so they can be released? It’s okay, cry, get upset, FEEL it, know it. Surrender to it. Ask for help from God, Source, your higher self, angels, guides, whomever who connect with. Let those emotions flow! This is why making sure you have time alone is important. Some of these energies can get chaotic on an internal level. It’s deeply personal.

I received the image of the Ace of Cups in the Tarot just now as I am writing this. Allowing one’s cup to overflow and release these internal aspects to allow the gift of divine healing to flow in.  This is why self-care is so important under this Scorpio Full Moon energy. Scorpionic transformation is not easy. Wrap yourself up in compassion and love.

You will find once these aspects have been examined on such a deep, powerful level, they soon start to transition through. You have gone through the Scorpio underworld and now, you are walking through the light at the end of the tunnel at this particular phase in your life. You realize the battles you have been up against, were internal and not necessarily external. You are different now. Transformed. You have a deep understanding and much more compassion for yourself and others and a new inner wisdom that you did not have before. This is the experience of Scorpio transformation that you may have read about, but never experienced. Until now.

Scorpio goes deep. Really deep!

New Moon in Aries 4/11/21. Planting the seeds for the upcoming year!

Tonight, the new moon is in the sign of Aries! This is the first of the twelve zodiac signs. Aries embodies the energy of action, passion, vision, inspiration, leadership, focus, health, physical activity, taking action on what aligns with your intentions and overcoming challenges, just to name a few. Aries is a self-starter, the motivation comes from within, not from others.

This new moon is a perfect time to set goals for the upcoming year. What is it that you want to accomplish? Plant the seeds of your intentions during this Aries new moon. The other planetary alignments during this time are very positive. The Universe will support you, but it will not interfere with your free will. It is up to you to take action on your intention. When you do this, your frequency aligns accordingly, and things will begin to fall into place.

Aries is a fiery, independent athlete. Focus on physical self-care during this new moon cycle. Rejuvenate yourself with relaxing baths, healthy food, working with essential oils, getting enough rest, exercise, time outdoors, and minimizing the best you can negative influences. And this includes being mindful of what you say to yourself! We tend to be our own worst critic. This Aries new moon is imbuing us with the energies of courage and confidence, to wave off any self-doubt. As well as the physical energy to pursue what it is that we are passionate about! But you must do your part as well!

To meditate with the energies of the Aries New Moon, here are some suggestions:

Candle Colors: Red, white, pink

Crystals: Garnet, ruby, red jasper, carnelian, bloodstone, fire agate, clear or white quartz, citrine, black onyx, rose quartz.

Herbs: Cinnamon, sage, pepper, dried rose petals, basil.

Tarot Cards: The Emperor, Ace of Wands, Four of Wands

Aries motto: “I am”. A vision board is a wonderful idea! See yourself as already having what it is you are wanting to achieve. This is also a good time for you to clear out that closet, do spring cleaning to freshen up your space, etc. Minimize the clutter. Clear out your space to give these new intentions room to manifest! ♈️🌑🔥🧘‍♀️🏋️‍♀️❤️

Happy Spring Equinox!

Today’s tarot card Queen of Wands!

This beautiful Queen embodies the signs of Pisces and Aries. She is “feminine fire”. The date of the Spring Equinox falls within her realm. Symbolic of the sun and a love of nature, one notices the new sprigs of growth on the wand that she holds in her right hand and the sunflower in her left. Creativity and magic thrive under this Queen’s influence. Her appearance in a reading indicates you have the strength as well as the creativity to pursue your goals. Especially goals that involve pursuits of not only financial abundance, but of emotional fulfillment as well. Good things just seem to “happen” around her. She can be a message for you to step out of your comfort zone and network. There’s just something about her that cannot be explained. Embody her archetype when you want to exude an air of confidence and charisma, with the magic of feminine “flair”. This magnetic combination will draw positive opportunities and beneficial people to you. Especially during “Her time” of the months of March and April. ♓️♈️

New Moon in Aquarius 2/11/21

New Moon in Aquarius from an intuitive tarot perspective – video

The new moon on February 11, 2021 is significant as there is a stellium of planets in the sign of Aquarius. We have the Sun and Moon, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn all in Aquarius! Wow! Mercury is in retrograde at this time until February 20th, which also adds some interesting energy to the mix.

Powerful new moon & planetary stellium in Aquarius on 2/11/21!

I decided to pull some tarot cards to delve into these energies a little bit more to gain some collective insights on this planetary event to relay some of the message that I received to you. I do want to state here that this is my own style of intuitive reading for this planetary occurrence, and I am by no means an astrologist!

Seven of Swords is the card that represents the decan for the sun and the the moon

We will start with the sun and the new moon. The cards associated with the sun and moon’s placement for this new moon, is the seven of swords. When I look at these cards, I received the message of many of you wanting to move forward with unbridled enthusiasm. Yes, that is the exact term that I was given LOL! Collectively, with all the events that have occurred we are feeling the energy of Aquarius very strongly. Ready to burst forward, with new ideas and fresh energy. To come back out into the sun (symbolically and literally), to pursue our happiness.

The solitary aspect of the events of 2020 which for some of you, may have seeped into the beginning of 2021, gave many of you the time to think about your home, your goals, your dreams, your career, your relationships, etc. and analyze them very closely. You have literally been “stewing” in your own energy and in the energy of those close to you for a little over a year now.

Most of you have reached some definite conclusions about how you want to move forward at this point. For example, some of you may have drafted a business plan. To plant the seeds to turn something that you love to do into a lucrative business idea, or in a more general sense, you may have decided to focus on the pursuit of a new goal that adds a sense of enrichment to your life. The Sun is one of the “happiest” cards in the deck and can indicate these things. But with the moon and the underlying energies of the Seven of Swords card, this can indicate that you may not have all the facts yet and/or your perception may be off. Before proceeding, it is a good idea to review contracts and agreements a few times to ensure that you understand it 100% correctly. For some of you, it would be advisable to seek professional counsel, such as an attorney, before entering into any agreements. Many professional astrologists, recommend refraining from signing contracts if at all possible, during a Mercury Retrograde. As during this time, Mercury can be a little tricky. There is a possibility of errors and omissions being a factor which can result in an unexpected circumstance popping up later on.

Be particularly aware of what you say in the context of friendships and social networks. During a Mercury retrograde, people may misconstrue your words. It is advisable to be prudent on social media until after Mercury goes back direct on the 20th.  But this is good advice any time, not just during Mercury Retrograde.

I also see that some of you are taking advantage of these energies to put distance between yourself and any old habits or patterns that may have held you back in the past. Others around you see this change and are perceiving you in a new light! This new moon for some of you will be the beginning of your embracing a new way of accomplishing things. The Sun, Seven of Swords and The Moon can indicate an out of the box mindset when it comes to solving problems or can indicate the formation of new and fresh ideas.

Six of Swords is the card that represents the decan containing Mercury, Venus & Jupiter

Mercury, Venus and Jupiter are all in the energy of the Six of Swords for the new moon. The Six of Swords, is a card of moving forward. I really like this card in the context of these planetary energies. It indicates new beginnings, expansion, minimizing attachments to materialism, and freedom of choice in one’s decisions. It’s also a card of optimism, which is a Jupiter energy. The characters in this card have faith that there is a better future up ahead waiting for them.

Venus is beneficial here, because I feel her energy as embodied in the Six of Swords, is one of forgiveness and cooperation. But also, of practicality and self-realization. As in having realistic expectations. Venus rules the sign of Taurus, a down to earth sign. Her advice in the Six of Swords is take what is necessary and leave the rest behind. The boat here only has so much room in it. In the context of mental energy, some of you may make the decision to move on from something, or perhaps you may need to consider doing this for your own healing, physical well-being and/or financial stability.

The Six of Swords can also indicate someone literally moving to a new location, whether this is a new home, career, etc. With Mercury, Venus and Jupiter all having energetic influence in this card during this new moon, it would appear that there are a lot of opportunities waiting for you there. Good for you!

A message for others of you is that with all these major planets in one house, on one side of the zodiac wheel, you may find it challenging to see the other side of a viewpoint or perspective. Embrace that Aquarian energy! Keep your mind open to explore the new possibilities up ahead. Aquarian energy represents new trends, technology, learning, exploring different cultures, community activities, sharing aspects of yourself to benefit others, learning a new language and even dietary changes, for example transitioning to a healthier, lighter diet. These are all possibilities of this energy if you are open to it.

The decan containing Saturn is represented by the Five of Swords

The last energy I will touch on is Saturn at 6 degrees in Aquarius, which is represented by the Five of Swords. Saturn is a planet of law, order, limitations, karma, discipline and challenges to name just a few of its traits. As embodied in the Five of Swords, I think this is Saturn telling us to be mindful of the fact that we are responsible for our words and actions. Overindulgence and/or impulsive behavior is a possibility with all these strong, concentrated planetary energies affecting us. Keep a handle on your emotions and finances during this new moon cycle!

All in all, I do feel these energies are beneficial. I myself am feeling the extra energy boost and I love it! My clients are utilizing these energies in a positive way by taking personal responsibility for themselves. I am seeing people making changes in their life, by first looking at themselves, then their environment and other people with a sense of objectivity. You may very well be doing this as well. I am seeing some amazing life and relationship transformations at this time!

A spiritual bath, along with blue and/or white candles goes well with Aquarian energy

With this significant new moon, some of you may want to consider working with this energy in the form of a meditation or just quiet contemplation. If you enjoy baths, you could incorporate a spiritual bath with Epsom salt, a few candles and essential oils. Blue or white candles would be a nice touch to help you connect with the new moon in Aquarius. You may want to consider purchasing a seven day candle in one of these colors, to give yourself a few days to work with this energy and maybe write down your thoughts in a journal.

What is your personal year tarot card for 2021?

In numerology, your year number is calculated by adding up the numbers from the month you were born, plus the date and the current year. If it is a double digit number, add them together to come up with a single digit number. For example, if your birthday is on October 15th. You would calculate your year number as follows: 1+0+1+5+2+0+2+1 =12/3.

If your year number is a number 11, that is considered a “master number” that has particular significance, and is normally read as both an 11 and a 2.

Okay, so you did the math and are ready to see what 2021 has in store for you. Let’s do this! Click on the video below:

12/22/20: Nine of Swords: The tarot card for the first day after the Winter Solstice & The Great Conjunction!

The Nine of Swords from the After Tarot deck was the card that literally flew out of the deck while I was shuffling this morning. Facing our fears head on!

Here we are, the first day after the historical astrological alignment everyone has been all a buzz about – The Jupiter/Saturn Great Conjunction at 0 degrees in Aquarius, which occurred on the date of the Winter Solstice on 12/21/20. Basically, this marks the shift that signifies our entering the new age of Aquarius. The portal has opened. One of the significant factors of this alignment is that it starts a 200 year cycle of Saturn and Jupiter in air signs, where they have spent the last 200 years in earth signs. This is a whole new paradigm shift we will be experiencing on the planet for the next 200 years. Get ready!

The year 2021 is a “five year”. Fives are an energy of shaking things up. Breaking away from the stability of the four. Much like a teenager, the number five rebels against established order. And just like a teenager, the frequency of five energy can get quite chaotic. 2021 will certainly be an interesting year for us. Aquarius energy is one of challenging established paradigms. Out of the box thinking, advanced technology, new social norms, grass roots communities, new ways of doing things, challenging authority, a broader understanding of our world, asking questions, a fresh perspective in how things can be done more efficiently, cleaner, more humanely, better, faster, with the goal of what is of benefit to the collective. Not just for the benefit of a few.

I anticipate that 2021 and in particular, the months of January and February are going to be quite a bumpy ride as the powers that be are busy maneuvering their chess pieces so to speak. As such, a lot will be thrown at us, the collective. Situations and circumstances that will challenge us to face our fears head on (as is shown in the 9 of swords card above). We also will have the chance to stand up for ourselves and make our voices heard. Hopefully you have been paying attention to what has really been happening in 2020. Are you awake yet? I sure hope so!

Change is coming, but as you know, anytime there is change, there is always a period of chaos beforehand, while the energies are dismantled so that they can be put back together again in a new way. This is what we saw in 2020 and will be seeing more of in 2021. Aquarius, as a rebellious, eccentric, creative sign, likes to shake things up! I believe some shocking revelations will come to light in the upcoming months.

With this being said, let’s move on to the tarot card that literally flipped out of the deck while I was shuffling this morning as I wanted to get a feel for the collective energy on this powerful new day. It’s interesting that a swords card came out as swords is a mental “air” suit in the tarot. Aquarius is an “air” sign.

The nine of swords in this particular deck, is a great card! In the standard Rider-Waite-Smith tarot, the nine of swords shows a person sitting up in a bed with their head in their hands worried. But in the After Tarot deck, the person in the bed has decided to face their fears head on. No longer a victim of fear, anxiety, mental anguish, subconscious trauma, old patterns, limiting beliefs, a skewed perception of oneself. The person in this card has decided to face their nightmare once and for all. They have picked up one of the swords that are hanging on the wall and are using it to confront their fears head on! This is the only way we can move past them. I love the image on this card. To me it says – okay I’ve had enough. Let’s do this!

This card, being a nine, is significant. This number indicates one is almost at the end. The ten of swords in the tarot deck shows an image of someone laying face down with 10 swords in their back. There is no doubt when one sees this card that it is the end. But the positive aspect is that this opens the door to new beginnings.

Man, that was a rough fight! But it’s finally over. Look at the horizon. It’s a new day.

The nine of swords is an indication that we are moving in the right direction. We will get shaken up in 2021, but these challenges are what is going to push us to find the strength in ourselves that we forgot that we had. When we finally say, enough is enough – okay let’s do this! And we slay the so called “dragon” that has been creeping around us in the darkness for centuries.

It’s a rough fight as we see in the 10 of swords card that I mentioned before. But we don’t stay down. We take all those swords out of our backs and get up. We embrace that new horizon, that new start. And we walk into the New Age of Aquarius with one Sword, for we are starting over with the number 1. This is the Ace of Swords, which is the symbol of truth, light, clarity, purpose.

And with our one sword, we start a new cycle, in a new age. Are you ready?

The Ace of Swords: Divine truth prevails!

Full Moon in Aries 10/1/2020: Decisions. Justice. Our future. Passion with intellect

The next full moon is in the sign of Aries 10/1/2020

On 10/1/20, the full moon is in the position of 9 degrees in Aries. The Sun is in the opposite position of 9 degrees in Libra. The major arcana cards associated with Aries and Libra are The Emperor and Justice. The minor arcana cards associated with the decans of the positions of the sun and moon are the two of wands and the two of swords. I also pulled the associated zodiac oracle cards to further enhance the reading. And this powerful spread is the result!

Tarot spread for the full moon in Aries on October 1, 2020

I also want to mention that October, 2020 has two full moons! One on the first, and one on the 31st. Yes, we have a full moon on Halloween this year! These two full moons have a “bookend” affect on the month of October. I received the intuitive impression, of two spotlights shining in the dark, facing each other, casting a downward facing beam of light, illuminating the space between them. Just as one would illuminate one’s property for example, with security lights.

In October, that which has relied on the darkness to remain hidden, will have no where to hide. This is going to be an interesting month for sure! Now, 2020 started off with signs that for the most part, only those with “eyes that see” could understand what was happening. But now, it has become so blatant. To the point, where one would have to be completely blind not to see what is going on!  We are in the age of information. I know I have said this before. There is absolutely no excuse for ignorance. The knowledge we seek is available at our fingertips!

Look closely at the Moon and Libra cards, and the Aries and Sun cards. See how these energies reflect the shape of the swords in the two of swords card? X marks the spot. It is time for all of us to step into our squares and reclaim our personal sovereignty. We have a decision to make. Are we going to take off the blindfold and finally open our eyes to see the reality of what is going on?  What are we going to do about it? And this is not just about us. More importantly, this is about our children!

The two of wands is a card of looking forward into the future. Look at what is going on in our schools! Kids wearing masks all day long, told to stay six feet away from each other, getting jabbed with vaccines over and over again, sitting at their desks like zombies. Parents, where are you? Is this the environment of  “learning” that you want for your children? We have the energies of the moon and the sun here. The moon mother and the sun father. Parents, why are we accepting this? There is nothing more important on this planet than our children. It is the divine responsibility of parents and all of us, whether we are parents or not, to protect the children! They are the future of this planet! When we allow our children to be indoctrinated or harmed in any way, we allow our children, and our future, to be stolen from us.

And this is but one aspect of the energies that we are seeing with this full moon, that is literally being shown in the cards.

To move on, for sure, there is justice going on behind the scenes in the upper echelons of government. Of course, this is not covered in the mainstream. But rest assured, it is happening. I have a feeling, we are going to get a chance to see some of it, in the month of October. But, it will be hidden in plain sight. So, it is imperative for us to not accept at face value what we see and hear. For that is not necessarily what is being communicated. There is one message for the masses, and another for those that see with the “third eye”. Which I like to refer to it as one’s “first eye”. Let me explain.

When one chooses to see with their “first eye”(intuition), this is where you are able to use discernment. Rising above one’s emotional triggers to be able to “read” the signs. This is where the truth is. I love the fact that I am seeing more and more people each day “waking up”. They are learning astrology, symbolism, the true meaning and origin of names, numerology, colors, etc. When we understand these things, the truth of our world is revealed. Knowledge is power.

Knowledge is the compass that directs our personal truth. This is how we embody the energies of The Emperor and Justice within ourselves as individuals. There is a moral standard, a line to which we do not allow others to cross. A line where there is no compromise. This boundary is one that we must set for ourselves. If we do not, then there are plenty of others that are more than happy to tell us where our boundaries are. And it will certainly not be to our benefit!

More and more, I am seeing that people have had enough of the nonsense of 2020. And this is also reflected in the energies of this reading. Personal boundaries as individuals, as well as the boundaries of the collective have been not only crossed, but obliterated! Numerous laws and civil liberties have been broken in 2020. We are seeing the collective starting to fight back now, in the process of filing lawsuits against various government officials and agencies. But much more needs to be done.

The Emperor and Justice with the two of wands and two of swords as the underlying energies is a message for us to open our eyes and see what is going on, and have a vision for the future. If we allow our laws and civil liberties to be continually trampled upon, we will permanently lose the freedoms that our ancestors fought and died for, for us to have.

It is no coincidence that these energies are here as we approach election time! I will not go into detailed politics here, as this is not the focus of what I do. But I will say, that unless one has been wearing their face covering (a.k.a. “mask”), over their eyes, one cannot help but see what is really going on.  The travesty of justice in the form of the overreach of power regarding our civil rights as citizens is staggering.

There is a right way and a wrong way to do things. The Emperor and Justice is all about law, order, morality, and justice Including karmic justice of which one aspect of this is universal balance. Karma is the result of our actions. And this includes the result of our INACTION as well. This full moon is reminding us that this is not the time to be passive!  The year 2020 translates into 20/20 vision. Do you see what is going on? Enough is enough.

The Moon in Aries and the Sun in Libra is asking us to take action, but reminding us as well, to be smart and follow the law. Take that passion and use it the right way! File lawsuits, use the upcoming elections to vote out the individuals, especially in our state, and local governments that have overstepped their authority, by forcing us to comply with unreasonable doctrines that are unhealthy, economically damaging, and illegal to boot! If you have a child in school, now is the time for all the parents to come together and march into those schools and demand they rescind the recent policies that have been put into place that harm your child’s health and mental well-being!  If you are able to home school, look into this a bit more. Things have changed from the old days of kids spending hours doing their schoolwork at the kitchen table. For example, there are many homeschool co-cops that are popping up now. Check to see what options are available in your area. You may be pleasantly surprised.

When we live our truth, we take personal responsibility for ourselves. We do not wait for others to save us. This embodies the Emperor archetype. We decide what we will allow, and what we will not allow. Where is your moral standard? At what point do you decide to stand up for yourself? Where is your boundary for yourself and your family?

This full moon in Aries, is asking us to go within to answer these questions. The sun in Libra reminds us to keep our fiery emotions balanced. Don’t let that passion get the better of you! Controlled fire is the first “bookend” that is in place for the month of October. Spend your precious time and energy wisely. Do not spend it arguing with others on social media, for example! Use that time to look into realistic actions and options that are within your control, that work best for you and/or your family. If you are voting, do your own research on the candidates that are running for office. Don’t fall for the hype. Remember, use your third eye. That will give you 20/20 vision. You will be surprised at what you see once you start digging and doing the research for yourself.

Each tarot card here has a relationship to the number 2. We have some decisions to make. All the tarot cards added together, add up to the number 19. Which in numerology breaks down to the number 10 / 1. This is a critical time for us. One of endings, and new beginnings! Both as individuals and as a collective. We are near the end of 2020. What will 2021 look like for us?

“Stop trying to be less of who you are. Let this time in your life cut you open and drain all of the things that are holding you back.” ~ Jennifer Elisabeth

New Moon in Virgo: September, 2020. What works, what doesn’t. Getting things done.

The new moon is in the sign of Virgo on September 17, 2020. Virgo is the ruler of the sixth house in astrology. The house that represents, health, fitness, systems, nature, pets, organization, habits and service offered to others. The card that represents Virgo in the major arcana is The Hermit. The ten of pentacles is the card associated with the deacon of this moon. Intuitively, I added the numbers of these two cards (10 + 9 = 19), then reduced it to a single digit (10 / 1). This is the number of The Magician in the major arcana. Interesting, since The Magician’s ruling planet is Mercury, which is also Virgo’s ruling planet. Since Mercury showed itself so prominently in this reading, I looked up it’s position on the date of the new  moon. It is in the sign of Libra, second deacon, which is the three of swords.

So with that being said, here are the cards associated with this New Moon.

Card spread for the new moon in Virgo 9/17/20

The first thing I notice is The Hermit closely examining the ten of pentacles. Things are looking pretty good, from an outer perspective for sure. But The Hermit is not content with accepting what looks good on the surface. The New Moon in Virgo is asking us to dig a little deeper. What areas of your life could use some tweaking? Virgo’s mantra is “I analyze”. Virgo is excellent at seeing ways to make something better.

Virgo isn’t about starting something big and new. She analyzes the current situation and improves upon it. With the current craziness of 2020, we are all feeling haphazard right now. Let’s face it, we’ve been “winging it” for most of this year! Finances, relationships, our health, all the structured elements in our lives have been turned upside down. But the new moon in Virgo is letting us know, that it is time to begin to put things back into order.

Mercury in Libra is interesting here. Libra rules the 7th house. Relationships, marriage, contracts, business partnerships, sharing, interpersonal style (a.k.a., how you are seen by others). Here’s the question. Is what you are projecting on the outside, the truth of what is really happening on the inside? Mercury is about communication. What are you telling yourself and others? That everything is just fine? How are things going, really? The three of swords underneath The Hermit and next to The Magician, is indicating that not all is what it appears to be. The Hermit says, let’s shine a light on the situation. To examine more closely at what is really going on here. We cannot change what we will not acknowledge.

I think it is interesting how the Virgo oracle card is looking down at the Three of Swords and The Magician. A shadow aspect of this energy is that she, in her zeal to help others, can get herself into trouble when she is “too helpful”. This is something the new moon requires us to look at as well. Virgo loves to be of service to others. As such, when she sees something that could be done better, or more efficiently for example, she will offer “helpful suggestions” to others even though they may not have asked for them! This can lead to hard feelings on both sides. The Virgo energy, that offered the help, may not feel appreciated for her ideas/efforts. Or, this aspect can be taken advantage of, and Virgo can end up taking on more work and responsibility than what she intended. Leaving her feeling disgruntled and/or manipulated.

On the flip side, whomever is on the receiving end of the “suggestions” may feel like they are being criticized and resent the unsolicited input.

Sometimes, it’s best to just let people do what they are going to do, their way. Even if you know a way that it can be done better (laugh). Bite your tongue, and let them ask for help if they want it! By the way, how are things in your own life? Perhaps instead of focusing on what this other person is doing, you could use that time and energy to “clean up your own house” so to speak. Oh, did I just say that! Yeah, sometimes Virgo energy needs a reality check.

Going back to the The Hermit and The Three of Swords underneath it, looking at the ten of pentacles and The Magician, I received another message. If you are taking an honest look at your habits, your lifestyle, your finances, home, etc. and you don’t like what you see, you have the power to change it. When Virgo is energized, it is amazing what she can accomplish. It can certainly seem like “magic” to others, when Virgo comes in, takes the reins and gets done what needs to be done. When Virgo can help others, by making the improvements needed to make things more beautiful, more efficient, organized, healthier, etc., and is appreciated for her efforts, Virgo is in its element!

Whether it’s better communication in a relationship, a budget to get the finances in order, a new health and diet regime, finally cleaning out that “junk” closet, or perhaps something more substantial. The new moon in Virgo is an energy that is shining a light on an aspect in our life and in the collective that needs attention. She is ready to jump in and help! All we have to do is be honest with ourselves about what needs to be improved upon, embrace that industrious Virgo energy, and then commit to the task.

There is magic, but you have to be the magician. You have to make the magic happen. – Sidney Sheldon

New Moon in Leo 8/18/20 Shadow and light, perspective, ego versus shine!

New moon in Leo 8/18/20

Overview of Leo energy:

On August 18, 2020 we have the new moon in Leo. A strong, courageous, charismatic energy, ruler of the fifth house in astrology. This is the house of romance, love affairs, creativity, self-expression, play, joy, admiration, drama, fun, spirit. What drives us, what makes our heart soar, as well as how we creatively express ourselves falls under the Leo fifth house.

A few examples that embody this bold, beautiful, flamboyant energy are actors, models, public speakers, leaders, royalty, artists, happy children, passionate sexy love affairs (which includes extramarital affairs), amusement parks, games, laughter, spontaneous decisions and/or actions. The courage to present a talent, project or idea to others. An individual who is not afraid to stand out from the rest and/or to begin something new.

When someone kicks off their shoes and wades through a fountain in a town square in front of everyone, this is Leo. When someone has too much to drink and puts on a show in front of everyone at the company Christmas party, this is also Leo. (laugh)

Leo, the lion, let’s not forget is a protective energy as well. Strong and fierce, Leo reminds us to have the courage to stand up for what is important to us. And to not let others expectations of us override our own path. The moon relates to our emotions and inner self. So the new moon in Leo is asking us to look inside and examine what this is. What embraces the innocence of who you truly are, that when you are doing that, you are able to express yourself in the purest vibration of love and joy. If you know what this is, you are very lucky indeed. Many spend their lives searching for it. Once you find it, it must be protected at all times. For it is a treasure. Guard your light.

As I mentioned before, this energy has a shadow side. It can get out of hand if we over indulge or lose our awareness of our surroundings in the spirit of the moment. Leo fifth house energy when it’s having it’s moment in the spotlight, is not necessarily concerned with order and responsibility. That is the job of Virgo, the sixth house. Remember the movie Mary Poppins? This is Virgo coming in to get things back in order when Leo gets out of hand.

Leo energy has a healthy dose of ego attached to it. In it’s highest aspect this is a great leader, someone who is honest and true with their intentions, one who inspires others, one who we admire, that individual who has that “it” factor that makes them stand out from the rest. Leo’s shadow aspects can show up as one who exerts dominance over others, an entitled attitude, manipulation of someone or a situation to achieve a desired goal, an entitled “you owe me” attitude, and an unhealthy need to be the center of attention.

Leo in it’s highest aspect, is an inspirational leader, or someone who is charismatic, positive, fun and colorful. The life of the party. People feel good when they are around them. In it’s lower aspects it is a tyrant, moody, forceful, intimidating, sneaky and a drama queen.

The Cards:

These are the cards I intuitively pulled for the New Moon in Leo. We have Strength (this represents the new moon’s sign of Leo in the Major Arcana), The Seven of Wands which is the deacon associated with this moon. The planet associated with the Seven of Wands is Mars. I thought this was interesting. So I looked up Mars’ position on the date of the new moon, and pulled the Four of Wands, which is the deacon associated with Mars on that date. The zodiac sign associated with Mars is Aries, which corresponds to The Emperor in The Major Arcana.

And here is our 8/18/20 new moon spread:

The Message:

So as I look at these cards, we see Strength moving toward the seven of wands with a confident determination. And who would not be confident with a lion by their side! A feminine energy, this card has the four of wands at it’s back, inspired and energized by this wonderful archetype. Perhaps protecting it as well. The four of wands indicates new beginnings, energies that are in their early stages of manifestation. A good sign of an exciting new future full of possibilities.

As I look at the seven of wands, this character is defiantly holding his ground in front of six wands that are raised in front of him. This is a card about boundaries and/or defensiveness. I’m not surprised at seeing this energy in this reading. The sun in Leo at this time has a powerful, bold energy to it. To put it in horse terms, people are “feeling their oats” so to speak. Combine this with the Four of Wands, of which the structure is quite open, and there is plenty of room for a potential misunderstanding. Or for someone to blur the boundary lines a little bit to take advantage of a situation. Another interpretation I see here is one of an obstacle in one’s path. And this is not a negative thing. Sometimes in our pursuit of our goals, we need to be “checked”. Perhaps the timing is not right at this time, perhaps there are some soul lessons to be learned before one can move forward, or a shadow aspect that needs to be cleared. For example, you may want to ask yourself what are your true motivations here? Are your intentions true or is it about your ego? Or it simply may be that the right opportunity has not presented itself yet.

Remember when I said the Four of Wands is the energy of something in the process of manifestation? This could be a message that the energy is still “undercooked” at this time. It’s simply not ready yet.

The Emperor as the underlying energy of the reading, below Strength, is a message that there is a right way and a wrong way to do things. See how he is facing the Seven of Wands? It looks as if The Emperor is Sending Strength as an energetic reinforcement to come to the aid of the Seven of Wands. Or perhaps as a reminder to someone that they need to “check” themselves in some way.

Strength and the Seven of Wands are cards that denote inner strength and perserverance. Our path is our own. This may be a personal message that we alone are responsible for what we want to achieve. We must not rely on others to give us strength. It comes from within us.

The Emperor reminds us that structure, and a code of conduct is necessary within the collective and within groups. Without it, there is a breakdown of communication and this is when we begin to see breaches of boundaries occur. This can take the form of bullying, theft, people feeling that they are being taken advantage of, a gradual increase in manipulative behaviors, a “mob rule” energy, etc. Unchecked Leo energy is not necessarily a good thing!

But as we take another look at the image of the seven of wands in this particular deck, nothing has really happened yet. There is no “action” here. But there is certainly an air of tension. Strength, tells us to trust our instincts. We know when something is not “right”. This is a message to be vigilant. As a collective reading, this tells us to be prepared. Pay attention. With everything that has been going on this year, anything could happen! If this reading resonates with you on a personal level, this is a message for you to put your guard up and pay attention to your surroundings. As well, pay attention to your own actions. Are you pushing a person or situation too far? Are you missing the signs that they are uncomfortable? Perhaps what you think is okay, is being perceived as a boundary breach to the other person.

The seven of wands is also a card of perception. Are you perhaps being too defensive? Maybe too guarded? Unresolved subconcious emotional challenges that we have not quite worked through, can cause us to feel triggered when there may be no reason to be. This where discernment comes in. The Seven of Wands advice is to be ready, but wait. See what happens. Only time will tell what action you need to take, if any. Know that you have the Strength to handle anything that comes across your path, when you have faith in yourself.

Collectively, we are all very suspicious at this time. There is a lot of misinformation out there, and we are having a difficult time discerning truth from agendas. Tensions are high. Strength and The Emperor reminds us to take a breath when we feel tension building up. Take a break from social media and definitely mainstream news! The constant anger and chaos that is spouted on those outlets only adds anger and more tension to an already strained situation. Spend some time with that Four of Wands energy to continue to manifest your dreams into reality. Concentrate on what you actually have control over. Leo loves to win!

The Emperor as the base energy of this spread, and an excellent example of the high vibrational leadership qualities of the archetype of Leo, is impartial and wise. So this may be a message to seek counsel or a higher authority if there is something in your environment or work space that is making you feel uneasy. If someone in your personal life is pushing you beyond your comfort zone, clear communication is needed. Stand your ground.

On a spiritual level, The Emperor tells us that the illusion of lack is just that. The Universe is abundant. However, we must place our trust in the process of divine timing. Do the work of course. But understand, that things will happen at the right time, when you are spiritually, physically and emotionally ready for it, and not a moment before. If we push too hard, or attempt to manipulate the wheel of fortune, the universe will push back. Usually in the form of a lesson to remind us to keep our ego in check and to have faith.

The new moon in Leo is a wonderful energy to bring in abundance, joy, strength, beauty, and to embody qualities that you admire in others. Stand up and stand your ground. Get your hair done, buy some new clothes. Have some fun. Be beautiful! Raise your frequency to attract more of what you love into your life. Use this time to shine!

8/3/20 Full Moon message. Authentic shine in our social circles. Is it time to move on?

Strength (sun in Leo), The Star (moon in aquarius), Six of Swords (decan associated with the moon)

The three cards I pulled for this full moon reading are Strength (which represents the sun in Leo), The Star (the moon in Aquarius) and the six of swords which is the decan associated with this moon.

The full moon illuminates that which has been hidden. The Strength card and The Star card are both very authentic energies to me intuitively. The moon is in Aquarius, which is the ruler of the 11th house which represents, groups, friends, social awareness, hopes, wishes, the future. Leo rules the fifth house, which is about self-expression, fun, play, love, drama, a zest for life. The Sun in Leo and the Moon in Aquarius together are asking you. Have you found your tribe? Does your environment and the people in it support you in a healthy, nurturing way? This can be online as well. Are you appreciated for your unique talents and how you contribute to the group dynamic in your social circles? Are you taking the lead in making your dreams come true? What talents do you possess that could benefit yourself and others at the same time?

As I look at these cards, I get the message of time to shine. But not in a show-off, big, bold, way. Just in an authentic way (there’s that word again). The six of swords is an indication that if your current social environment is not supporting you, it may be time to consider moving on. I find it interesting that all these cards are “quiet” images. Are you considering a new path? Something that is just for you? Or perhaps you have done some soul searching and you realize you have changed.  Aquarius energy is an “out of the box” vibe. Maybe there is something you enjoy doing that your current social circles may not “get” or accept. That’s okay. As long as you love doing it, that is what matters. And if this is what brings you joy, so be it. But to have the time to pursue what this is for you, you may need to distance yourself from social obligations or groups that are not in alignment with your goals.

Our current circumstances provide the perfect opportunity to do this. To quietly retrieve the bits and pieces of your energy that you have given to others. Bring it back to nourish yourself. To give you the strength to use that pole in the six of swords, to propel your boat to calmer waters. To pursue the vision of the future that you have in mind for yourself.

Strength and The Star tells us to be gracious and kind to others, especially when parting ways. Many people mistakenly believe that endings need to be big and dramatic. But this is the worst way one can end any type of relationship. Look at the images of Strength and The Star. There is not much activity going on. They are not raucous, loud, rude or angry. These are “classy” ladies! The energy of these cards is one of self-control and a higher awareness.

Notice all the water in these cards. This amplifies the message of staying calm and cool. No need to burn bridges. Just quietly paddle to put some distance between yourself and the past. The Star is a reminder of hope. Of looking forward to the potential that awaits you as you propel yourself in the direction of this new destination. And as your boat goes further and further out, until you are just a spot on the horizon to those you left behind, your boat will become larger and larger as you get closer to your new destination, where your new soul tribe is waiting to celebrate your arrival on the shore.
