August 2025 Astrology Highlights

The energy for August is a mix of tension, clarity and charm. Here are the key transits to be aware of – and how to move through them – so you can work with the current, not against it.

August 8: Mars in Libra Opposes Saturn in Aries
Tension simmers under the surface as Mars in Libra opposes Saturn in Aries. Neither planet is in its element here, but both want to maintain the illusion of strength. Mars struggles with indecision in Libra, while Saturn’s discipline feels unsteady in fiery Aries. The friction of this transit will ease up in a few days. Progress here will be made through patience, not pressure.

August 11: Mercury Goes Direct
Finally, Mercury stations direct in Leo. Miscommunications, stalled plans, and tech glitches begin to clear. Ideas flow more freely now and projects move forward with new momentum.

August 12: Venus Conjunct Jupiter
Sweet, expansive, and heart-centered—Venus and Jupiter align in Cancer, amplifying themes of emotional connection, warmth, and abundance. This is one of the most fertile, generous aspects of the month. Nourish what you love, and let it return that love back to you tenfold.

August 23: New Moon in Virgo
This Virgo new moon helps to clear the clutter—physically, mentally, and spiritually. Set intentions that bring structure and healthy habits into your daily routines. Break your goals or desired changes down into small steps. It’s about refinement, not perfection.

August 25: Venus Enters Leo
Venus struts into Leo, turning up the heat on romance, self-expression, and artistic allure. She’s radiant here—bold, generous, and unapologetically vibrant. It’s the perfect time celebrate yourself, flirt with life, and wear your natural charisma like a crown.

Be sure to stay tuned! I’ll have the August breakdown for each zodiac sign up very soon!

Mercury Retrograde Reminder

🚨Mercury Retrograde Reminder🚨

Everybody be careful out there! This Mercury Rx in Leo is a strong one—and it’s showing up loudly on the roads. We’ve already seen multiple wrecks, and my husband just witnessed a serious crash this morning where a car ran a red light and t-boned another crossing the intersection.

Mercury in Leo stirs up impulsivity, ego, and the urge to act first, think later—especially when retrograde. That energy can spill into how we drive, communicate, and react.

✨ Slow down. Stay alert. Don’t rush to respond—whether behind the wheel or in conversation. Take a breath, stay grounded, and don’t let the drama pull you in.

We’re in this together. Be safe. 💛

This week: Feeling, Healing & Fire

Cancer season is in full swing, and this week brings a powerful trio of transits; each one inviting you to move from feeling into action, from intuition into intention. Let’s break it down. 🌌 ⤵️

☀️ June 24 – Sun Conjunct Jupiter in Cancer
The Sun’s warmth and optimism meets Jupiter’s expansive energy—which supercharges your personal growth. Something within you begins to bloom. This can be a quiet insight, a dream, goal, or a spark of motivation you can’t ignore. Imagine your future self, living or doing what this is for you. Really “feel it”. Let yourself believe in something bigger.

🌑 New Moon in Cancer | 4°
Square Saturn + Neptune in Aries | Sextile Mars
This New Moon plants its seeds in tender soil, but not without challenge. A square from Saturn and Neptune in Aries may bring a moment of doubt, delay, or a reality check that challenges your plans. It’s not the end if you don’t get the green light right away—Mars favorably aspects this transit, lending its drive, courage, and grit to help you find another route. If needed, rework the plan, not the dream.

The two of cups tarot card corresponds to this New Moon. Your aspirations may need more than just your input -it may need a partner, a collaboration, team, or trusted ally to get the ball rolling. Choose your connections with care. Everyone needs to be on the same page.

🦁 June 26 – Mercury Enters Leo
After drifting through Cancer’s inner tides, Mercury enters Leo with a bold exhale. It’s a shift from inner dialogue to outer declaration. Communication becomes more confident and direct. Creativity flows. Speak from the heart. Now is the time to say what you mean, name what you want.

Mercury in Leo is magnetic. This energy builds on the New Moon’s Two of Cups vibe: mutual recognition, heart-centered connection, and the courage to show up as your full self. Your words carry a frequency—and when you speak with clarity and authenticity, you naturally attract the right people and opportunities.

Want to go deeper?
The house where Cancer and Leo fall in your birth chart will show where these transits are showing up for you. That’s where you’re planting seeds (Cancer) and finding your voice (Leo).

Look to those areas for insight into what you’re being asked to feel, express, and create.

Have a great week!  💖

Summer Solstice June 20, 2025: The longest day, the brightest light

On June 20, 2025, the Sun reaches its highest point in the sky, marking the Summer Solstice—the longest day of the year and a sacred turning point in the Wheel of the Year. In magical traditions, this is a time of fullness, abundance, and illumination. The Solstice invites us to honor how far we’ve come, to celebrate our growth, and to offer gratitude for the light that sustains life.

Energetically, the veil is thin and the earth’s northern hemisphere hums with solar power. It’s a potent moment for setting bold intentions, charging your tools or crystals, and working magic that calls in vitality, creativity, and joy.

In numerology, 6/20/2025 carries the vibration of 17, which connects to The Star tarot card—a symbol of hope, renewal, and clear vision. It reminds us to set intentions with confidence and to trust in the path ahead.

The Star often indicates a wish has been granted, a prayer has been heard. Divine magic is unfolding beneath the surface… ✨

Let the light of the Summer Solstice reveal what’s blooming in your life—and what’s quietly asking to be released. ☀️🌻🌿💖

Jupiter in Cancer: Coming Home to the Heart 6/9/25-6/30/26

Jupiter, the planet of expansion, higher wisdom, and soul-aligned opportunities, entered the soft, sacred waters of Cancer on June 9th, 2025—and stays until June 30th, 2026. This is a significant shift in energy from when it was previously in the sign of mutable Gemini from May 25th 2024. Cancer, the cardinal water sign ruled by the Moon, is an initiator. It invites us into the soul’s inner sanctuary, where emotional healing, intuition, family, and our sense of home live. With Jupiter in Cancer, we grow, but we grow inward. And that inner growth then ripples outward in undeniable, tangible ways.

Now, Jupiter doesn’t just show up and sprinkle glitter on your life. It expands whatever it touches—for better or for worse. So, depending on how you’ve been caring for your emotional ecosystem, this transit can bring profound healing… or it can expose the places that are in need of it. But either way, it’s benevolent. It’s trying to move you toward truth, spiritual nourishment, and stability that only comes from the inside out. I suggest that you pull up your personal natal chart. Because the house that is ruled by Cancer is the area of your life where Jupiter will be doing its sacred work. Whether it’s your home, family, career, relationships – including your relationship with yourself; that space is being blessed over the next 12 months with Jupiter’s grace and “karmic ripening”.

As I mentioned above, Jupiter brings blessings yes, but in Cancer it’s not necessarily the result of a loud, boisterous blow-out. More than likely, it may arrive through healing conversations, through the courage to be emotionally honest, or through a newfound capacity to receive love without shrinking. There may be tears, but they’re the good kind—the kind that rinses the soul and soften the walls.

In the tarot, Jupiter is connected to the Wheel of Fortune, and when this Wheel turns in Cancer, it calls for change that begins within and radiates outward in quiet, powerful waves. And yes, fortune favors the brave. Not the loudest or the quickest, but those courageous enough to feel deeply, to soften, to trust their intuition and to open their hearts – even after they’ve been hurt.

Jupiter in Cancer says: you are allowed to be both strong and sensitive.

You are allowed to grow in ways that feel like healing, not chasing a future ideal version of yourself.

Trust the turning of the Wheel, especially in the place where your heart has long waited to be met. This is where the good fortune flows now—not as something you aspire to, but something you know and remember to be true. ❤

Full Moon in Libra + Mercury & Venus station direct!

On April 12th, we greet the Full Moon in Libra just as Venus (Libra’s ruling planet) stations direct, and just a few days after Mercury stationed direct on April 7. These planetary shifts feel like the fog is finally lifting after a long, slow drive. Venus and Mercury’s retrograde has likely stirred up some awkward conversations, challenges in our relationships, technical frustrations, and delays. But with both Venus and Mercury picking up speed again, we can finally move forward with a sense of clarity. This full moon illuminates the internal processing we’ve done over the last few weeks and reconciles it with the outward connections we’re now ready to pursue and/or rekindle.

The tarot cards associated with this moon are very different in their energetic expression. They are the Four of Swords (moon in Libra) and the Four of Wands (sun in Aries). The Four of Swords is all about healing and recovery—basically, it is the rest you actually need, not the one where you stay up late in bed scrolling through your phone lol. It’s quiet, internal, and restorative. The Four of Wands, on the other hand, is a celebration, perhaps a wedding reception or a backyard party. It’s the clinking of glasses, the “we made it” moment. It’s joyful, warm, social.

The Four of Swords tells us to slow down and take a breath, and the Four of Wands says, “Get up, we’re dancing tonight.”

And honestly? Right now, we probably need both. This full moon isn’t asking us to choose—it’s asking us to balance. Maybe you’ve been in hermit mode and it’s time to rejoin the world, even if just a little. Or maybe you’ve been running nonstop and your body is waving a white flag. Libra energy loves to weigh both sides, and this is a great moment to ask: where have I been overdoing it, and what do I actually need right now?

If you are looking to delve deeper into this full moon energy, here is a simple Tarot or Oracle card spread to help you connect. If you do not work with cards, you can use these as journal prompts.

1. What pattern or perspective is disrupting my inner peace?

Start here to identify what’s been mentally and emotionally draining—what’s keeping you from feeling grounded, calm, or clear?

2. What needs to be integrated before I move forward?

The full moon is a time of culmination and letting go. This card shows what lesson, experience, or truth needs to be processed or honored before you can fully step into the joy and connection that’s waiting for you.

3. How can I invite more joy, ease, and connection into my life?

This card reveals the small, yet impactful changes you can make to invite in more of what truly lights you up. People, places, and experiences that bring you genuine happiness and support deeper, more meaningful connections.

Have a great week!

New moon solar eclipse in Aries 3/29/25

On March 29, 2025, we will experience a new moon partial solar eclipse in the sign of Aries. This transit encourages new beginnings, inviting us to step out of our comfort zone and pursue new paths if the one you are on is not taking you where you want to be. Aries, the first sign of the zodiac is renowned for its dynamic, fiery energy. The mantra for the sign of Aries is “I am”, symbolizing the traits of courage and self-assertion.

Solar eclipses occur when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, temporarily blocking the Sun’s light. Astrologically, these events are associated with significant transformations, marking periods of endings and new beginnings. The impact of eclipses are often felt most profoundly in the area of life represented by the house in your personal natal chart where the eclipse occurs. Understanding the house placement of the eclipse in your personal chart can provide valuable insights as to what specific areas of your life are poised for a shift or change. Don’t worry, I’ve got you! Keep reading.

The Two of Wands tarot card, associated with this transit, speaks of future planning, decision-making, and exploration. It signifies the moment wherein we stand at a crossroads, contemplating whether we should stay or go. The globe in his right hand symbolizes all the possibilities that lie ahead. The world is literally in his hands! This card encourages us to step out of our comfort zones and to not let fear of change set us on the sidelines of life. The two of wands perfectly symbolizes the pioneering spirit of this Aries new moon solar eclipse!

Here are some brief insights as to how this eclipse may influence each zodiac sign. For more details, come see me up at Indigo Moons on Thursday!

Aries: This eclipse lights up your first house of self-identity, sparking a powerful personal transformation. It’s the perfect time to reflect on who you’ve become and who you’re still becoming. You are invited to explore new experiences and ventures that truly resonate with your evolving identity and aspirations.

Taurus: This solar eclipse is activating your 12th house, bringing your subconscious, hidden fears, emotions, and unresolved challenges to the forefront. It’s a powerful time to release old patterns and internal blocks that are not serving you, to create space for a more authentic, empowered version of yourself to emerge.

Gemini: With the eclipse in your eleventh house, anticipate shifts in your social circles and long-term aspirations. New friendships or collaborations may emerge that align with your plans or goals. As well, you may decide to release people, groups or affiliations that no longer resonate.

Cancer: Your tenth house of career and public image is highlighted, signaling potential advancements or changes in your professional path. A leadership opportunity or an exciting offer could present itself. You may also decide to redefine your appearance and/or professional persona. Be mindful of making external changes as Venus (the planet of love & beauty) is retrograde. If you can, wait until after April 12th when Venus goes back direct.

Leo: The eclipse energizes your ninth house, inspiring a thirst for knowledge and adventure. Consider exploring new philosophies, enrolling in courses, or planning a trip to broaden your horizons. Make plans after April 6th, if possible, to avoid the pitfalls of the current Mercury Retrograde.

Virgo: The eclipse in your eighth house sparks a shift in your shared resources and intimacy. It’s a good time for financial planning as well as addressing challenges in your relationships. Issues related to inheritance, taxes, or debts may come into focus, prompting necessary changes. As well, you could receive a pleasant surprise through an inheritance or tax refund.

Libra: This eclipse shakes up your seventh house of partnerships, bringing relationships—both personal and professional—into focus. You may start questioning certain connections, wondering if they truly support your growth and well-being or if they’ve run their course. It’s a time of deep introspection, inviting you to assess whether or not your commitments are built on fairness, respect, and shared goals.

Scorpio: This eclipse activates your sixth house, highlighting health, daily routines, and acts of service. Small changes, like adopting mindful eating habits or a new fitness regimen, can significantly boost your well-being. Additionally, if you’ve been feeling isolated lately, consider ways to help others or get involved. Not only will this bring you emotional fulfillment, but it will also expand your social circle.

Sagittarius: With your fifth house of creativity and romance activated, this eclipse sparks inspiration and passion! You may be inspired to pick up a new hobby or endeavor that allows you to authentically express yourself. This can be through art, music, a podcast, etc. This eclipse may also highlight the Debbie downers in your life that discourage you or drain your energy. Maybe it’s time to have a little fun and prioritize joy in your life?

Capricorn: This eclipse activates your fourth house, shining a light on home and family matters. It’s the perfect time to create an environment that truly supports and nurtures you. Whether through a heart-to-heart conversation or simple changes in your space, this eclipse inspires you to make your home a place of comfort and emotional security.

Aquarius: With the eclipse lighting up your third house, communication, learning, and your local community take center stage. It might be time to explore new local spots, meet fresh faces, and open yourself up to new ideas. If you’ve been thinking about taking a course or picking up a new skill, now is the perfect time! Shake things up by expanding your perspective and making some exciting new local connections.

Pisces: This eclipse activates your second house, putting the spotlight on finances and personal values. You are invited to reassess not just your money habits, but also your self-worth and how you value yourself in relation to wealth. Are your financial choices truly supporting your present needs and future goals? If not, it may be time for a change. Smart, thoughtful decisions made now can pave the way for long-term stability and security later.

Celebrating Ostara: Spring Renewal with The Queen of Wands

As the wheel of the year turns, we arrive at Ostara, the Spring Equinox, on March 20th – a time of perfect balance when day and night are equal before the light overtakes the dark. This sabbat, celebrated in ancient pagan and Wiccan traditions, marks the renewal of life, fertility, and the awakening of nature.

Named after the Germanic goddess Eostre, Ostara is the inspiration behind many modern Easter traditions, symbolizing rebirth, growth, and new beginnings. With flowers blooming, animals emerging from hibernation, and the earth brimming with potential, this is a time to step into the warmth of the sun and embrace the fresh energy of the season.

The tarot card associated with the Spring Equinox is the Queen of Wands. She beautifully represents Ostara’s vibrant and confident spirit. As a figure of charisma, passion, and creativity, she embodies the self-assurance and motivation needed to initiate this new cycle of growth. Just as nature boldly unfurls its blossoms without hesitation, the Queen of Wands encourages us to harness our inner fire, take inspired action, and acknowledge our personal power.

The equinox is a portal—one that allows us to shift from the introspective energies of winter to the outward expression of spring.

However, Ostara is not just about witnessing external changes, but also recognizing the stirrings of transformation within ourselves. Where in your life are you ready to plant new seeds of intention? Spring is a season of growth and vitality, and as we too are a part of nature, we are invited to participate in the process of the earth’s bloom and renewal.

Here are five ways to celebrate Ostara that honor the tradition of the season in our modern times.

Host an Ostara Gathering – Celebrate the Spring Equinox with friends or family by sharing a meal filled with seasonal foods like fresh greens, egg-based dishes, honey, fruit, teas, baked goods, etc.

Create an Ostara “Spring” Altar –Decorate with flowers, candles, eggs, crystals, statues, photos, etc.

Plant Seeds or Start a Garden – Symbolize new beginnings by planting flowers, herbs, or vegetables. Whether in a backyard garden or in a small pot indoors, nurturing new life aligns with the Spring energy of growth and renewal.

Sunrise or Outdoor Ritual – Connecting with nature doesn’t have to be complicated. Simply standing barefoot in the grass while setting an intention or lighting a candle at sunrise can be a powerful way to align with Ostara’s energy. For others, you may prefer something more involved, such as leaving offerings by a tree or creating an outdoor sacred space.

Creativity and Self-Expression – Channel the vibrant energy of the Spring by engaging in creative activities like painting, writing, dancing, or crafting. This can also include those little fun home projects that make your space feel fresh and alive, such as rearranging furniture, adding new décor, or creating a spring-inspired focal-point.

Spend Time in Nature – Go for a walk in the woods, a local park, or even your backyard. Put your phone on silent and observe the signs of spring—flowers blooming, birds singing, and the warmth of the sun. Breathe in the fresh air and simply ‘be’ for a while. Include others in your plans if you’d like, by inviting a few friends and making it a day out. You can bring a picnic with fresh, seasonal foods and enjoy spending the day in nature surrounded by people you care about.

For my crystal lovers: Spring is a season of renewal and growth. Many crystals resonate with this vibrant energy, but here are my top six suggestions:

*Green Aventurine: Known as the “Stone of Opportunity,” Green Aventurine is believed to attract prosperity and encourage personal growth, making it a top choice for spring’s themes of abundance and renewal.

*Rose Quartz: This crystal embodies love and compassion, gently healing the heart and opening it to new possibilities, aligning with the nurturing aspects of spring and Ostara.

*Sunstone: Associated with the energy of the sun, Sunstone is thought to inspire vitality, independence, and joy, qualities that harmonize beautifully with the invigorating spring season.

*Moss Agate: Most often linked to nature and new beginnings, Moss Agate is said to promote emotional balance, fertility, new growth and fresh starts – It’s a lovely stone that captures the essence of Ostara and the spring season.

*Aquamarine: With its serene blue hues, Aquamarine is believed to connect to the tranquility of water, gently aiding in emotional cleansing and renewal of the mind, body and spirit – central themes of spring.

*Clear Quartz: This crystal is renowned for its ability to amplify energy, clear the mind, and balance the chakras, making it an ideal crystal for Ostara’s themes of renewal, balance and growth.

Happy Ostara everyone! Have a great week! ❤
