Numerology of 2025: A “9” Year with The Hermit

2025 is a “9” year in numerology which corresponds to The Hermit in the tarot

As we venture into 2025, we’re entering a “9” year in numerology, a time of culmination and transition. The number 9’s vibration signifies the completion of cycles, the integration of hard-earned lessons, and the preparation for a new chapter. Yet, it’s not simply about reaching the end of the story, but understanding the wisdom of our journey before we close the book. The number 9 acts as a bridge, connecting what has been with what is yet to come.

The Hermit tarot card beautifully mirrors the energy of a “9” year, symbolizing introspection, solitude, and the quest for inner truth. The Hermit’s lantern encourages us to be the guiding light in our own lives, as we seek clarity and understanding from within instead of relying on outside validation.

Reflecting back on 2024, many of you may have already felt an inkling of The Hermit’s influence through a sense of disconnection from certain people, places, things or situations. Disillusionment is often part of The Hermit’s experience (and we are seeing this on a macro-level as well), but it ultimately paves the way for eye-opening revelations and a stronger connection to your true self, which can inspire positive change.

Interestingly, in Chinese astrology, 2025 is the year of the Yin Wood Snake, a symbol of renewal, transformation, intelligence, and insight. Snakes have a unique way of undergoing change and growth—before shedding their skin, they go through a phase known as “going blue.” During this time, their eyes are clouded, limiting their vision. To protect themselves, they retreat from the world going into “Hermit mode” until they shed their old skin. Once the process is complete, their eyes are clear, and they emerge fully renewed and ready for what’s ahead.

2025’s vibe carries a similar energy. It’s a year, both collectively and individually, where we shift our priorities and become more intentional about where we invest our time, energy, and resources.

Many of you will choose to invest in yourselves this year—whether through healing, moving, traveling, or furthering your education. These actions are all about creating space and aligning with your higher calling, setting the stage for the limitless potential that 2026 will bring. As a “1” year, represented by The Magician in the tarot, it promises fresh starts, powerful manifestations, and the opportunity to step fully into your creative power.

I am very much looking forward to 2025! This energy is both reflective and profoundly empowering. The “Yin” energy of the Wood Snake aligns nicely with the Nine of Pentacles in the tarot—a card that represents personal achievement, success, self-love, and confidence. Paired with The Hermit, we have an interesting dynamic that mirrors the process of a caterpillar becoming a butterfly.

The Hermit invites us into a period of introspection and solitude, much like the cocoon phase, where we can reflect on the past and integrate its lessons. The Nine of Pentacles represents our emergence from this time of quiet transformation; the butterfly spreading its wings and reveling in the next phase of growth and renewal.

Happy New Year everyone! ❤

Black New Moon in Capricorn 12/30/24: Tarot Spread & Tips for New Beginnings

Tarot spread for the upcoming Black New Moon in the sign of Capricorn on 12/30/24

As we approach the New Moon in Capricorn on December 30th, we step into a powerful moment for setting intentions that are grounded, practical, and aligned with long-term growth.

Capricorn’s energy, paired with a rare Black Moon (the second New Moon in the month of December), invites us to reflect deeply on our intentions for the upcoming year, while at the same time also making important decisions regarding what stays behind in 2024 and what we want to build upon in 2025.

During the month of December, I was thrilled to speak with several people who were purchasing their very first tarot and/or oracle decks! Congratulations! It was such a treat for me to support you all by answering questions and helping you find the perfect deck to start with! ❤

With that being said, my new and experienced readers, get your cards out and give them a good shuffle. I’ve created a 5-card Capricorn New Moon tarot spread designed to help you tap into this powerful energy to glean some additional guidance for the year ahead. Let’s get started…

5-Card New Moon in Capricorn Tarot Spread

1. What intention should I set for the New Moon in Capricorn? This card is the main attraction! Some keywords to help you align your intentions with Capricorn energy are: Ambitious, disciplined, focused, goal-oriented, hardworking, resilient, self-reliant, realistic, and strategic. Career, money, and investments fall under Capricorn’s domain as well.

2. What is my energy right now? This card represents you at the present time.

3. The Past: What do I need to let go of to move forward? This card is a gentle hint of something that is no longer serving you. This can be a mindset, a habit, a situation, etc.

4. What steps can I take to align with my 2025 ambitions? Here’s your action plan! This card will give you practical advice to keep you on track.

5. What hidden strengths will help me succeed? This card reminds you of your inner superpower – a unique gift, talent or resource that gives you an edge when you need it most.

If you need clarification, feel free to pull additional cards to open up the “conversation” a little more. Be sure and write down your insights so you can go back to them later. Let me know how this tarot spread worked out for you!

Since this is a Black New Moon, let’s discuss a few other magical ways that you can work with this energy:

Black Moons are a powerful time to set new intentions

Black Moons are typically associated with the darker feminine aspects of the moon’s energy. They are excellent for banishing and releasing, spellwork, transformative new beginnings, shadow work, protection, and divination. Black Moons are also conducive for working with some of the “darker” goddesses such as Hekate and Lilith. Spells and intentions set during a black moon are believed to be very potent and effective. So be mindful of your intentions and energetically cleanse any ritual or meditation tools before and after working with them.

Below are some helpful correspondences that will invite you to delve into the shadows of this Capricorn Black Moon:

Colors: Black, Brown, Dark Green

Element: Earth

Crystals: Black obsidian, mahogany obsidian, smoky quartz, snowflake obsidian, nummite, black moonstone, hematite, black onyx, aragonite, malachite, fluorite, ruby and garnet.

Herbs: Mugwort, sage, mint, patchouli, mullein, blessed thistle, thyme, Solomon seal

Have a great new moon! ❤

12/15/24: Full Moon in Gemini & Mercury retrograde ends

As we approach the last full moon of 2024, we’ve got an interesting astrological double feature. On December 15th, the full moon in the sign of Gemini, coincides with Mercury going direct, ending the final retrograde of 2024 . Adding to the complexity of this transit, this full moon forms a square to Neptune in Pisces, which may have you in your “feels” for a few days before and a few days after.

The tarot cards representing this full moon are the Ten of Wands (Sun in Sagittarius), the Ten of Swords (Moon in Gemini), and the Ten of Cups (Neptune in Pisces).

The Ten of Wands reminds us of the weight we bear, often willingly, as we strive to meet goals and fulfill our own as well as others, expectations. However, under the full moon in Gemini, you might find yourself on the edge of a breakthrough. Have you taken on more than your share or found yourself saying yes when you really wanted to say no? With Mercury stationing direct, this is the perfect opportunity to untangle misunderstandings and streamline tasks or commitments to lighten your load before the new year begins.

Neptune’s influence may blur the lines a bit between fantasy and reality. Be mindful of making assumptions. Tangible actions, clear communication and scheduled follow-ups will yield the best results. You may need to set a deadline, a boundary or a time limit and stick to it.

Meanwhile, the Ten of Swords signals the end of a chapter as well as often represents the end of overthinking. The next card in the progression after the Ten of Swords is the Ace of Swords. I think this corresponds nicely with Mercury going direct as it indicates a moment of clarity and truth. The fog is lifting!

This full moon on the Gemini-Sagittarius axis, highlights the balance between the “higher and lower” minds – logic versus intellect, youth versus experience. It offers renewed clarity on how to move forward on something that may have been postponed, stalled or has you feeling weighed down.

Tens in the tarot indicate endings and new beginnings. This full moon is ideal for creative solutions and with Mercury once again in direct motion and Neptune’s square offering subtle suggestions, the path ahead looks clearer than it has in while, setting the stage for a fresh and inspired start to 2025.

***Tap into Gemini’s magic – Full moon mental clarity spell***

Gemini rules communication and its symbol is the twins – you’ll be working with the duality of this sign. You will need the following:

1 white or black candle

1 yellow or blue candle

A small crystal or a crystal pendant/bracelet

A small cup or bowl of water

*For an extra boost (optional), consider anointing your candles and petitions with an oil or spray that contains one or more of the following: lavender, mint, hyssop, sage, lemon balm and/or eucalyptus. You can also place a drop or two in your bowl of water.

On one piece of paper write what you are ready to release, or anything that has been weighing on your mind or causing confusion. These could be worries, limiting beliefs, mental blocks, or unresolved situations. As you write, imagine releasing these thoughts from your mind onto the paper.

Once you are finished, hold your white or black candle while reading what you are ready to release out loud. Then light your candle and burn this piece of paper in a fire-proof container. Let the candle and your petition burn until it is finished.

Then, on the other piece of paper, write down what you want to invite into your life. Focus on themes such as mental clarity, confident self-expression, improved memory, or fresh insights to help you manifest a plan or goal.

Once you are finished writing, hold BOTH your crystal item and your yellow or blue candle, while reading what you want to INVITE into your life out loud. When you are ready, light your candle and burn this piece of paper in a fire-proof container. Set your crystal item next to your candle to charge it with your positive intentions.

Once the candle and petition are finished burning, anoint your third eye chakra and your crystal item with the water and say “my mind is bright, my path is clear and my words hold power”.

Then keep your crystal item on or near you, so it can continue to support your intentions. You can recharge your crystal items on the next new moon in Capricorn on December 30th.

Have a great full moon!

TGIF! A Little Weekend Pick-Me-Up

It’s Friday, and we made it! Can we all just take a moment to breathe and give ourselves a little credit? The week’s been intense, and I’ve heard from so many of you that it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster. So, as we step into the weekend, let’s reset. I’ve pulled some tarot cards to offer a little extra guidance and love for each of you. Hopefully, this will give you the boost you need to make this weekend a good one. So, let’s get started!

Water Signs: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces

Water signs, you’ve been carrying a lot emotionally this week. It’s okay to take a step back and give yourself permission to rejuvenate. Cancer, curl up with a blanket, Netflix and your favorite comfort food—you’ve earned it. Scorpio, this is a good time to let go of something that’s been weighing you down. You are fixed water, so I get that change doesn’t come easy. But is it time to create space in your head or heart (or both) for something better? Pisces, lean into your creative side; draw, paint, write, indulge in a favorite hobby, etc. Whatever you enjoy doing that let’s your imagination do the heavy lifting for a while.

Tarot Card: The Moon

This card is your reminder that it’s okay not to have all the answers right now. One step at a time is still progress. For the next few days, try giving yourself the amazing love that you freely offer to others. Trust your intuition more, as this weekend may reveal a secret or insight which proves to be a gamechanger for you.

Air Signs: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius

Air signs, has your mind been going a thousand miles an hour? This weekend, find a way to press pause. Gemini, call that friend who always knows how to make you laugh and brings you back down to earth. Libra, it would be good for you to get those scales back in balance. Go somewhere that helps you feel calm and physically connected – like a park, a favorite coffee shop or a small business where the energy is warm and welcoming. Aquarius, has the same old routine got you down? Shake things up a little bit! You are the visionary of the zodiac. What area in your life could use an update or fresh approach? Put your ideas down on paper, you’re onto something here.

Tarot Card: The Star

The Star is here to remind you that hope is always within reach. The universe is listening, so take a moment to focus on what inspires you and maybe say a few positive affirmations. A blessing, prayer or answer is on its way to you. You’ve got this.

Earth Signs: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn

Earth signs, you’ve been pushing through like the champs you are, but this weekend, it’s time to slow down and recharge. Taurus, treat yourself to something indulgent—a good meal, a long bath, or an afternoon nap. Do you know a Cancer sign? Maybe you can join them for a Netflix and chill evening! Virgo, the world won’t fall apart if you take a break this weekend. Seriously, put down that long to-do list and rest. Or better yet, delegate some of those responsibilities. Let them help you. Capricorn, the world has been on your shoulders this week and wow is it heavy! Pamper your mind, body and spirit with a relaxing massage, mani-pedi and a quiet evening. Take your mind out of the game for a day or two and decompress. You’ll feel much better next week if you do this.

Tarot Card: The Hermit

The Hermit invites you to take some quiet time for yourself to reflect and reconnect.

Fire Signs: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius

Fire signs, if your flame has felt a little dimmed, this weekend is all about reigniting your spark. Aries, move your body to release any pent up, heavy energy: A light workout, gentle yoga, dancing, a brisk walk in the park, or whatever activity you enjoy. It will do wonders to get those juices flowing again in a positive direction! Leo, lighten up your vibe by glamming yourself up and doing something fun. Surround yourself with people who “get you” and make you feel like the star you are! This weekend, make it about you! Sagittarius, your adventurous side is calling. Try something different to shake up your routine. Consider taking in a Christmas light tour or attending some other holiday themed event this weekend to lift your spirits.

Tarot Card: The Sun

The Sun is here to light up your weekend. It’s a reminder to let loose and have some fun every now and then, and to celebrate life’s small successes. Have a good time my fire signs out there, you’ve earned it!

Okay everyone, if you see this message consider this a permission slip from the universe to make this weekend about YOU. Take care of yourself and stay in your magic. I’ll see you next week! ❤

This week 12/02/24: Retrogrades & The Hanged Man

The Hanged Man tarot card from the Rider Waite Smith tarot deck

This week’s energy feels like trying to row a boat through molasses—slow, sticky, and a bit frustrating. After the new moon in optimistic Sagittarius on Sunday, the waxing moon moves through Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces, inspiring us to dream big and chase our ambitions. But with both Mercury and Jupiter in retrograde in opposite signs, plus Mars going retrograde in Leo later in the week, the Universe seems to be saying, “Hold up now, not so fast.” It’s not a stop sign, but more of a yield—which gives us an opportunity to slow down and think things through as we enter the final month of 2024.

Tarot card guidance: The Hanged Man

The tarot card for this week, The Hanged Man, reminds us that when progress feels stalled, it’s an invitation to shift our perspective. Instead of pushing against the tide and trying to force an outcome, take a step back and look at the bigger picture. Whether it’s your career, a personal project, or a relationship, a pause (whether voluntary or involuntary) gives you the space to think on how to approach things with fresh eyes. What might initially seem like a roadblock may be an opportunity for you to revisit a plan, decision, or goal and to assess whether you want to move forward as planned or take a different direction entirely.

As much as you might want to power through this week, if something is just not happening, despite your best efforts, divine timing may be at play. The retrograde energy is here to show you what’s worth your effort and what’s not, as well as how a shift in perspective may be just the thing to get you back on track. Those slow moments? They’re not a waste of time – they’re where the magic happens. Look closely at the halo of light that encircles The Hanged Man’s head. This glow symbolizes his crown chakra, lit up with inspiration, dreams and aspirations, as well as an inner knowing of when the time is right to turn those visions into a plan.

The Hanged Man’s illuminated perspective reminds us that the greatest breakthroughs often come when we stop trying to force things to fit, like hammering a square peg in a round hole, and instead trust the natural flow of life. Sometimes things happen or not happen for a reason. Who knows? This pause you’re experiencing might be the perfect opening that uncovers opportunities you hadn’t imagined before, leading you to something even better than you had planned.

Have a great week!

This week: Pluto moves into Aquarius, Sun in Sagittarius

This week Pluto moves into Aquarius on November 19th, marking the start of a new evolutionary 20-year cycle. Pluto, the planet of power, rebirth, and transformation, brings insights and opportunities for both individual and collective growth during its time in progressive Aquarius.

Over the next two decades, the primary focus will center on innovation and progress in the areas of community, equality, social awareness, intentional living, technology, and reshaping societal structures to serve the greater good, instead of for the benefit of a few.

The last time Pluto was in Aquarius was from January 1778 to March 1798 which was during a time of significant historical and societal changes including the American and French revolutions. So, the next 20 years should be very interesting!

Adding to this dynamic energy, the Sun moves into adventurous Sagittarius on November 21st, brightening our mood with its optimistic vibe. Sagittarius season invites expansion and growth, whether it’s through travel, learning, adopting a new mindset, or by embarking on a deep spiritual journey.

This Sun in Sagittarius invites you to explore where you may be resisting a change that would be beneficial for you. Especially with Pluto so active right now, a fresh perspective and a willingness to try new things may be just what you need to put you on a path towards a more prosperous and fulfilling life, relationship, career, or future.

With the above being said, astrologically, THIS week is not the ideal time to make a big move or take a leap of faith (unless a plan has already been in the works), as the last quarter waning moon is squaring the sun and we have Mercury retrograde (in Sagittarius) just around the corner. Initiating something brand new now, may result in your taking two steps forward and one step back.

To increase your chances for success, use the upcoming four weeks to put a solid plan in place, review all details carefully, and to tie up loose ends on current projects so that you will be ready to make a fresh start when conditions are more favorable and Mercury goes back direct on December 15th.

Your tarot card pick for this week is The Chariot:

“Success is within reach for you, however to achieve your goals requires you to stay determined and focused on your path and to not let rocky emotions, naysayers or other external distractions throw you off course. Be careful of letting others know of your plans too soon as not everyone will have your best interest at heart, or they may project their own insecurities onto you, which may cause doubt and confusion where there was none before. Your best bet is to keep it moving, and let your progress speak for itself.”

Crystals that may be helpful in navigating this week’s energies by encouraging a healthy balance of one’s mind and emotions are: Amethyst, black obsidan, citrine, blue kyanite, lapis lazuli, sodalite and fluorite.

Have a great week! ❤

Full Moon in Taurus 11/15/24

When I looked at the planetary placements for the upcoming full moon in Taurus on November 15th, I received the image of the running of the bulls celebration in Spain! This full moon brings themes of courage, endurance, and patience, encouraging us to trust our instincts when deciding whether to move forward, pivot, or hold steady. Like the bulls charging through narrow streets, we’re pushing through the final stretch of 2024, testing our resolve with the second to last full moon of the year. The final full moon of 2024 will be in the sign of Gemini on December 15th, closing out the 2024 lunar cycle.

November’s planetary shifts are quite a buzz as things are coming together to form a different picture from what we are used to – think of puzzle pieces snapping into place. Saturn, which has been retrograde since June, goes direct at the same time as this full moon on November 15th, helping to bring clarity to areas in our life that require responsibility and structure. Pluto will then move into Aquarius for the next two decades on November 19th, which begins a profound societal shift, and Mercury will retrograde on November 25th and stations direct again at the next full moon on December 15th. All these planetary movements support the closing out of an era, as we turn the page to begin an entirely new chapter.

The tarot cards associated with this full moon, the Seven of Pentacles and Seven of Cups, mirror these themes. The Seven of Pentacles, corresponding to the moon in Taurus, invites you to take stock of what you’ve been investing your time and energy into. Has your hard work paid off, or is it time to reassess your investment versus profit ratio? The last new moon in Taurus was on May 7th, this could be a time marker for some of you. What seeds did you plant back then, and how are they doing now?

Meanwhile, the Seven of Cups, corresponding to the sun in Scorpio, is asking you to consider your choices carefully and practice discernment while exploring dreams and possibilities, as you decide what truly aligns with your long-term vision. As we close out the old and make space for the new, it’s important to be real with where you are coming from and where you want to go moving forward.

Here’s where things get interesting: Uranus, the planet of sudden change and the unexpected, is right next to the full moon, ready to shake things up. With the Sun in the opposite sign of Scorpio, the catalyst will most likely come about from a psychological aspect – a desire to break free from patterns or dynamics that are outdated, unbalanced, unfulfilling, or perhaps it has run its karmic course.

The moon is exalted in the sign of Taurus (she likes it there), but let’s not forget, we are dealing with a cominbation of full moon energy and the sun in Scorpio, which is quite potent. And with a full moon conjunct Uranus, expect some curveballs. Imagine running with the bulls in Spain – you’ve got a plan and think you know where you are going, but WTF, a surprise comes around the corner, changing the direction of your path. But lucky for you, this works out in your favor. Better you found out now rather than later.

Adding to the tension, Mars in Leo is inconjunct with Venus in Capricorn, which can make us feel a bit out of sync with others or even within ourselves. If you’re feeling misaligned with someone—whether in a personal relationship or at work—the energy of this full moon encourages patience rather than pushing for immediate solutions. High emotions can lead to impulsive actions, which may have unplanned consequences. Save your energy and put it towards something constructive. This is a time to play chess, not checkers.

Fortunately (good news), Mars is also forming a harmonious trine with the North Node, giving you the motivation to move forward. If you are seeing signs that a current situation is not supporting your personal or professional goals, or is limiting you in some way, this full moon will give you some clarity as to where adjustments can be made, making it easier to pursue a life, love or goal that feels more authentic to you.

Finally, as Pluto moves out of Capricorn and into Aquarius on November 19th where it will stay for the next 20 years, we’re at a turning point, where we collectively and individually, are encouraged to step into the future with a clean slate. This isn’t a Tower energy, not everything has to go, it’s more of an acknowledgment of lessons learned and releasing what we’ve outgrown.

I’ve noticed an uptick online of trends towards simple living, lighter home spaces, less material “things”, a low tolerance for stress, and an emphasis on living well with less. These are Aquarian signatures that are beginning to surface. We are living life instead of life “happening” to us. This is sneak peak of what is to come.

This Taurus full moon energy has a grounding influence, yet with Uranus nearby, it also reminds us that not everything is within our control, and that is ok. Life is similar to running with the bulls, there is a surprise at every turn, challenging us to adapt, stay centered, and keep moving forward.

You may end up somewhere you never expected, but you are exactly where you need to be. ❤

Have a great full moon!

11/4/24 Tarot & energy update this week: Mars in Leo

Mars in Leo is fiery & passionate just like the Queen of Wands, this week’s tarot card pull

This week, as Mars steps into fiery Leo and the waxing moon travels through Sagittarius, Capricorn, and Aquarius, our focus shifts from introspection to vibrant self-expression. Mars in Leo is an especially dynamic influence, with both Mars and Leo powered by the element of fire, bringing passion and courage to the forefront.

Meanwhile, the waxing moon is also building momentum, guiding us into action. Early in the week the moon in Sagittarius, stirs up excitement and open-mindedness; mid-week in the sign of Capricorn, she encourages discipline and determination; and later in the week in Aquarius, she brings fresh insights and innovation. Together, these energies create the ideal atmosphere for creative self-expression, starting a new project or goal, as well as romantic pursuits.

Your tarot theme card for this week is the Queen of Wands—one of my favorites! She embodies confidence, charm, creativity, and a hint of magic. The Queen of Wands urges you to seize the moment should the opportunity arise, to let your unique gifts shine. Your super-power lies in embracing who you are: unique, authentic, intelligent, and beautiful. What are you waiting for? The fiery feminine spirit of the Queen of Wands encourages you to step into the spotlight and take center stage in your life or a situation. I recommend pulling up your natal chart to locate 1 degree Leo. The house where this point falls will offer additional insights into which area of your life is being highlighted by this energy.

The Knight of Swords as a clarifier, is swooping in with a surge of focus, quick thinking, and unstoppable momentum. Check out that galloping horse! Where the Queen of Wands encourages self-expression and creativity, the Knight of Swords speaks of taking decisive action sooner rather than later. If you have been sitting on the fence for a while now or procrastinating, the Knight of Swords is lighting a fire under your behind encouraging you to get moving!

November is an exciting month in astrology, and your reading for this first week is very positive, suggesting the promise of some powerful breakthroughs for many of you out there. With Mars in Leo and the moon’s ingress supporting bold, strategic moves, you are encouraged to have confidence in yourself, your goals, and the ideas you have for achieving them; even if a few of those ideas are a bit unconventional. 🦁♂️🔥🌙

I love you all, have a great week! ❤

Scorpio New Moon 11/1/24

Death & Temperance from the tarot major arcana

The Scorpio new moon on November 1st, 2024, invites us into a deep, introspective phase of transformation and renewal. This new moon is a beautiful, yet potent energy to work with if you are ready to unearth what has been lying beneath the surface to apply healing and closure to old wounds that may have been festering for some time.

Interestingly enough, one of Scorpio’s body correspondences, is that of the bowels and excretory system. Figuratively, this new moon invites you to release attachments of the past that are no longer viable, and perhaps have even grown toxic, to create space for new intentions, dreams, goals, and experiences. Scorpio is real and raw, and often Scorpio season is the time when we come face to face with our fears and not so pleasant truths that wake us up from the slumber of our routine. Everything is going along just fine and then…

The “zombie” you thought you’d buried long ago rises from the grave and comes knocking on your door, and you find yourself thinking, “Well, isn’t this interesting”. Around the time of this new moon, an old dynamic or situation may come back around, wearing a familiar theme, though the faces may (or may not) have changed. Maybe something is said, or a secret is revealed. You thought Halloween was over, and then whoops – someone’s mask slips. Suddenly, the bare bones are exposed, and you see things exactly as they are.

This Scorpio new moon is a chance to confront what’s been hidden in the shadows and to decide if it’s time to put this ghost to rest for good. This is your moment to reclaim your sovereignty, and move forward with a lighter, wiser, heart and soul.

Death is the card that corresponds to Scorpio in the tarot major arcana, and the card that follows it is Temperance. I often refer to Temperance as my ‘spiritual alchemy’ card because it encourages us to combine various elements—emotions, experiences, ideas, as well as the shadow aspects of ourselves and others – to create something new that is more refined and whole.

It corresponds to the sign of Sagittarius, which brings the wisdom of new philosophies, growth, and a sense of freedom. This card reminds you to be patient with yourself as you integrate life’s changes and experiences, allowing time and grace to bring your inner and outer worlds back into balance.

As you step into the energy of this Scorpio new moon, view it as an invitation to release what no longer serves your path and to embrace life’s changes with courage and openness. The Scorpion’s stinger is potent; it holds poison that can kill, but it can also heal.

Trust in the process of divine alchemy, knowing that every ending opens a door to something new and meaningful. I feel this is a heavy time for many of you out there. Don’t give up. Continue moving forward—your path is guiding you out of the darkness and back towards the light. ❤

Some ways to work with this energy:

New moons are a time for new intentions. Write your goals on a petition and place it under your candle plate as the candle burns. Afterwards burn the petition to release it. You may also want to consider lighting an ancestor candle, asking your beloved ancestors for help with a situation or your goals.

As a water sign, Scorpio’s energy lends itself beautifully to a ritual bath, allowing you to immerse fully in its transformative vibe while meditating and cleanse your aura. Enhance this ritual with sea salt, herbs, and essential oils—or try a ready-made ritual bath kit—to enhance your intentions.

Candle colors: White, black, red, brown, burgundy, light green (aquamarine)

Crystals: aquamarine, smoky quartz, ruby, opal, rhodochrosite, malachite, mahogany obsidian, topaz, peridot, labradorite, apache tears, unakite and kunzite.

I am sending you all healing and blessings for this Scorpio new moon! ❤

Welcome to Scorpio Season!

The zodiac sign of Scorpio is represented by Death in the tarot major arcana

Welcome to Scorpio season! 10/22/24-11/21/24

If you’ve been feeling the pull to explore the unknown—whether it’s the hidden corners of your own psyche or daring to take a peek behind the veil that separates the physical and spiritual realms, you are not alone. Scorpio energy thrives amidst the mysterious, the macabre, and in unearthing what lies beneath the surface.

Some of these things aren’t so pretty, but life isn’t always rainbows and sunshine, is it? Scorpio season is when we get real with ourselves and others. It’s when we dare to explore what lurks in the shadows, what goes “bump” in the night. We embrace our dark side by embodying our alter ego, whether through costumes, home decor, and even in the way we interact with world around us.

There’s just something about the “vibe” this time of year…

During “spooky” season, we give ourselves permission to step into our more mysterious, powerful selves. We confront the fears and secrets that have been hiding in the corners of our minds by cavorting with them. As we release judgement and accept the invitation to “dance with the devil” for just a little while, we realize that every shadow does indeed, have a lesson to teach.

The major arcana tarot card that is associated with Scorpio is Death. The image on this card can be quite jarring to the uninitiated, but it stands as a powerful symbol of transformation. It is said that death is but a transition of energy from one plane of existence to another. Look closely at the image on this card. Do you see the sunrise in the background, and the flowing waterfall? Death is nothing to fear. The old energy is being cleared out to make room for something new. The process is not always comfortable, but it is necessary.

Scorpio season invites you to reflect on the areas of your life that feel stagnant—whether it’s a job you’ve outgrown, a hobby that no longer excites you, or a friendship/relationship that feels stuck. These aren’t just external challenges; they’re signs that you are undergoing a deep, internal transformation. Scorpio’s energy pushes you to confront what is no longer working and to ask yourself, “What am I ready to release in order to make room for new growth?”

So, what shadows will you be exploring this Scorpio season? And what do you expect to find there? Keep an open mind as you’re bound to encounter some interesting dance partners along the way, all of which have something to teach you. Give yourself permission to engage in the dance; no matter how uncomfortable it feels at first, and trust that every step you take is leading you closer to a more authentic, empowered version of yourself.

Happy Scorpio season everyone!
