Hi everyone, this is Christine with your tarot forecast for this week!
We begin the week with the new moon in Libra. The tarot card that came out for this aspect is the five of swords. Libra is a sign associated with balance and justice. However, the fives in the tarot indicate a disruption or change. Is there an area in your life wherein the scales require an adjustment? This may evolve into a conflict that requires you to assess your position carefully.
If you love/care about the others involved, use the Libra New Moon to rise above egos in order reach a mutually beneficial compromise. If tempers flare, give each other space to calm down so that no one says anything that they may regret later. Others of you may have had enough and are ready to speak your truth or draw that line in the sand. You may be dealing with someone who refuses to listen/compromise or that has a negative impact on your well-being.
I’ll let you decide if this is card’s message is one of “good riddance” or “hold on, maybe I shouldn’t go there”. Our words yield great power. Use them wisely. Let’s move on….
Mid-week, the moon travels through the sign of Scorpio. Scorpio loves digging deep to get to the real truth and it is empowered by the waxing moon. Here we have the 9 of cups. This is a card of achievement, success, happiness, accolades. A job well done. What does your vision of happiness and success look like? Are you currently in alignment with that goal or dream? This card corresponds to Jupiter in Pisces. Artistry, imagination, generosity, happiness.
The world is your oyster here as long as your intent is pure and you have joy in your heart. This is a great energy for projects, friendship, laugher, sharing ideas. If you are open and honest, the right people and circumstances will be drawn to you and will support your vision.
At the end of the week, the moon continues through the sign of Sagittarius. And away we go with the tarot card, Judgement. There is certainly momentum building as you are bringing about some positive changes into your life or a situation. You may be making peace or coming to terms with, a decision or action (maybe from earlier in the week with that five of swords?). You have Archangel Gabriel here delivering your message. There is no denying that it is time to get up and get moving. The card is upright, so I see this is as a positive change and/or transformation. This may also be a sign for some of you that you are being inspired by a “divine calling” in some capacity.
Although Judgement tends to generally be what I consider a “larger themed” card, this can also denote your making positive changes in your daily habits, routines, patterns, etc. that positively impact yourself and those around you. There is no going back when we see this card. Judgement is the next to last card in the major arcana. It is the moment that one steps out of the casket of what was, and into a new destiny, life or career path, or calling. On a smaller scale, it could simply be that of embracing a new perspective or a “new lease on life”.
Hi everyone, things are a little bit hectic on the homestead this week, so I am going to keep this short with a one tarot card and one oracle card pull for this week’s message:
Two of Pentacles & “Spirit” Heavenly assistance from your angels and guides:
I think all of us can sympathize with the character in the two of pentacles card. His hands are full as he is juggling work, school, responsibilities, a budget, time for family, etc. It often seems that there are not enough hours in the day. I often refer to the two of pentacles as the multi-tasking card.
The message that is sometimes overlooked here, is that this character is artfully skilled at balancing all that needs to be done. Kudos to you! But it is advised not to take on anything else at the moment. This may require you to put less important tasks on the back burner for now, until this settles down or is concluded.
You’ve got this, but it’s kind of like walking on a tightrope. It’s tricky, as you are making adjustments with each step. So you are going to need to carefully focus on keeping your feet underneath you. Usually, the two of pentacles denotes a relatively temporary situation that is challenging, but certainly doable.
Notice the infinity symbol that is wrapped around the two pentacles. The oracle card “Spirit” is an interesting message as the infinity symbol in the tarot denotes connection to the infinite possibilities of the universe/divine, as well as a connection to the higher spirit realms. If you are pulling double duty right now, you may be asking, how long can I keep this going? Your answer from spirit is “as long as it takes to get through this, or to get this done”. You are supported by spirit, so be sure and ask for divine help and guidance if needed. Remember, they will not interfere unless you ask!
I often see this card come up for clients when they are burning the candle at both ends. Working during the day and going to school at night. Single parents, I’m sure you can identify with this image, as well as those that may be caring for elderly parents, young children or family members that need help. These are just a few examples to help you understand the tone of this card.
The last message is to be sure that you are finding a healthy balance between your responsibilities and own well-being. It’s easy to forget about yourself when you are focusing on the juggling act at hand. Remember, you are a crucial component in all of this. Take care of yourself.
The moon is currently in its waning (decreasing cycle) this week as it travels through the signs of Aries, Taurus and Gemini. All three cards that came out for you, indicate a young fresh energy, with a little bit of drama thrown in. I’m not surprised at this, as full moons tend to heighten emotions for about three days before and three days afterwards. That being said, let’s dive in!
Moon in Aries: Five of Wands. There’s some tension early in the week as there may be competition at work, or this could be a creative brainstorming session or a debate that gets heated. This card can also indicate drama, disagreement or infighting within a close-knit group. All involved want to be seen and heard. Egos abound, tempers flare, but it’s not long lived. The key for you is to not get caught up in the fray. It is certainly tempting to want to add in your “2 cents”. But see how the sensitive Page of Cups is looking on, but not participating? My eye is also drawn to the young man in blue in the Five of Wands card that has the wand over his shoulder, instead of up and in the battle. You do need to stay informed, but be careful not to be drawn in to this emotionally charged tornado. This will calm down just as fast as it started as long as no one keeps poking at the fire.
Moon in Taurus: Page of Cups: Things calm down towards the middle of the week. You or someone else may be owed an apology from the dust up that happened a few days ago. Some of you may have to be the bigger person here and open the communications back up. Within the drama, there were probably some good ideas in there too! Now that everyone has had a chance to settle down, perhaps it is time to revisit this. The Page of Cups upright brings good news whether this is friendship, financial opportunities, or creative projects. Better times are up ahead now that everyone is on the same page (no pun intended).
Moon in Gemini: Ace of Pentacles. It would appear that the chaos earlier in the week, was the catalyst for a new opportunity and/or blessing to emerge! Whatever this is, there is certainly potential for growth here. The Ace of Pentacles may very well be the beginning of an investment, idea or endeavor that could grow into the ten of pentacles over time as long as all involved continue to work together towards a common goal.
Mabon is the Autumn Equinox on the wheel of the year, occurring each year between the dates of September 20-24. Unlike our modern holidays, the Fall Equinox is not celebrated on a particular date every year. Rather it coincides with the astrological point in time wherein the length of day and night are approximately equal. This year, its date falls on September 22.
Mabon, symbolically represents the “in between” time, the transition from summer to fall. This is when the nature Gods and Goddesses of spring and summer, begin to slow down as the dark season approaches. Persephone has had her time in the sun, it is time for her descent back into the underworld. It is the time of the Fall Harvest, when vegetables and fruits are gathered and stored in preparation for the upcoming harsh winter months. The Goddess is beginning her transformation from fruitful mother to Crone. Soon the ground will be barren as nature withdraws into its “death” cycle. Seeds prepare for their buried slumber as they nestle into the earth to hibernate through the winter.
The primary theme surrounding Mabon is one of celebration and gratitude. The Fall Harvest has revealed its bounty and blessings as the result of the hard work of the previous months. In modern times, we can celebrate Mabon in a similar way. Look around you right now. Take this time to write down in a journal or a notepad, six or more blessings that you are thankful for. If you have a roof over your head, internet and food in the fridge, you are off a good start!
Fall is the time for hearty food. Root vegetables such as turnips, onions, carrots, potatoes, squash, pumpkins. Pomegranates, seeds and nuts, grains, corn, apples. Stews, breads, baked goods warm cooked cereals, etc. The scent of allspice and cinnamon fills the air. Think of comfort food and you have the idea. Have your fill, food is plentiful! All is well, the harvest was good this year.
Decorating one’s home, altar, and/or sacred space is a perfect way to connect with the seasons. Fall colors of orange, red, copper, maroon, gold, brown and yellow set the tone. Gourds, pumpkins, apples, nuts, berries, seeds and bread make wonderful adornments and offerings. If you work with deities, place a sigil, picture or statue on your altar to show respect and to connect with them.
Of course, no Mabon altar is complete without fire! Candles in the colors mentioned above will give your space a beautiful warm glow. Burn herbs, incense and spices in a cauldron or fire proof container to further enhance your connection with nature and spirit. Don’t feel you must limit yourself to just one day either. Celebrate Mabon for the entire month of September! You will enjoy the fall ambience and your Mabon altar will transition nicely with just a few tweaks as the season progresses into Samhain.
Here are a few ideas in how you can celebrate Mabon:
Eat “fall theme” foods and leave some as an offering on your altar: fresh apples, warm cider, pies, pastries, sweet potatoes, berries, seeds, warm cereals, pumpkin bread, etc.
Light candles: Candles in fall colors, and fall scented candles. For spells/meditations chime and taper candles in the appropriate colors will aid in focusing your intentions. You can dress them in oils and herbs as well to further charge them with your energy.
Declutter your space, donate items to charity. Physically clearing out your space, is helpful in assisting with clearing out emotional clutter as well. It goes a long way to ease feelings of anxiety. You will be able to enjoy yourself in a space that feels warm, peaceful and comforting.
Start a journal and/or magical grimoire. Get a journal that you especially connect with so that you will enjoy writing in it! These are wonderful for not just diary entries, but to write down your spells, recipes, magical correspondences, insights, etc. I especially love the large selection of high-quality journals offered at Indigo Moons. These are beautiful grimoires that can be passed down through generations.
Host a potluck dinner and share a hearty meal with family and/or friends.
Connect with others by attending fall events such as metaphysical & craft fairs, festivals, moon events, drum circles, farmers markets, etc.
Decorate your table with fresh in-season fall flowers.
Space/altar decorating ideas: Cornucopias, pinecones, seeds, nuts, autumn leaves, branches, naturally shed deer antlers, fall colored candles (of course), cauldron/incense burner(s), ears of dried corn, pumpkins, gourds, pomegranates, sunflowers, acorns, marigolds, pictures or figurines of “fall themed” animals such as owls, dogs, deer, stags, crows, ravens, blackbirds, foxes, cats, wolves, squirrels, etc. Pictures or statues of goddesses, gods, natural spirits, etc. Let your intuition guide you!
Herbs. The following are a few herb/spice suggestions that you can blend to make an incense mix, smudge blend or use them in a tea ball strainer in a bath for a ritual purification or aura cleanse: Cinnamon, clove, sweetgrass, pine, sage, myrrh, allspice, cedar, benzoin, sandalwood, lavender, red rose, dried apple, vanilla, patchouli, calendula (marigold), thistle, nutmeg, rosemary, mugwort, tobacco, thyme, chamomile, passionflower.
Crystals: Citrine, amber, tigers eye, red jasper, yellow agate, carnelian, botswana agate, honey calcite, garnet, clear quartz, mahogany obsidian, hematite, peridot, labradorite, bloodstone, yellow and/or green aventurine, black moonstone, a few pieces of black obsidian. These are just a few suggestions. If you feel drawn to a particular crystal, use it! As I always say, you do you.
Mabon is the time when we begin to slow down and reflect on the past year. We give thanks for the blessings and release the excess baggage. It’s a time for connection, celebration and magick! Why not integrate the Fall Equinox into your experience and enjoy all the wonderful gifts that this time of the year has to offer.

Hi everyone! Here is your tarot forecast for 9/5-9/11/22:
The moon continues to increase its frequency as it travels through the signs of Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces this week, ending its waxing cycle with the full moon in the sign of mysterious Pisces on Saturday. The full moon occurs the day after Mercury goes into retrograde. A full moon and mercury retrograde so close together can certainly pack a “one-two punch”, which can catch us off guard. But this cosmic energy is being nicely balanced with both the Sun and Venus in the practical earth sign of Virgo. Slow down, stay calm and you’ll be fine. Let’s get to the reading…
Moon in Capricorn: Two of swords. At the beginning of the week, it would seem that some of you are at a crossroads of some sort resulting in a temporary stalemate. There are two options, but which one is correct? You may seek or receive advice from trusted source(s), but ultimately it is your decision. This will not go away on its own, it could even become more difficult as time goes on. So, a plan of action or a choice will be necessary. It is important that YOU make the decision to avoid having someone or a circumstance make it for you. You got this. Find a quiet space without distractions so you can think clearly. Drop into your heart space and tune into your intuition. Put your psychic antennas up, higher guidance is available if you ask for it.
Moon in Aquarius: The Moon. Things may get a little darker towards the middle of the week as the energies progress from the two of swords to The Moon. Shadow and light, dreams, illusions, lies, truth. The Moon in Aquarius can be strange indeed, and let’s not forget we have Mercury Retrograde peeking around the corner! Texts and emails should be proofread more than once before sending. Conversations and/or oral agreements should be followed up in writing to avoid misunderstandings. Trust your instincts, if something appears “off” make a note of it. Do yourself a favor and keep idle chit chat to a minimum this week, especially at work. The potential is there for you or maybe someone else, to inadvertently overshare. As well, do not partake in any kind of gossip or drama, as it could escalate quickly. Look at the image in this card. See how the crawfish is following the path laid out before it? My advice to you is along those same lines. Stay in your own lane as much as possible. You’ll be glad you did!
Moon in Pisces: The Sun reversed. The Sun is still the sun, but when it is in the reversed position, it indicates there could be a few clouds in the forecast. I feel the end of the week is when a decision, truth or information may come to light. It may not be exactly the outcome that you would have preferred, but you are still A-okay. Things are still on track, but there may be a delay. With Mercury retrograde fresh and active, perhaps something needs to be re-evaluated or reviewed again before proceeding further. The Sun, whether upright or reversed is a good sign. You end the week, much more savvy and confident than when you started. Have a great week everyone!
